Sorry for the question, but i don't see any thread about it: but in eu 3 we'll have an editor usable and overall working?
and simple to use??? (not just for a couple of people)

Crud. That's gonna be hell on those of us who are too lazy to modSonny said:I think notepad is the editor.![]()
Yes but we have many people who wants an early date, a byz to play and even in eu 2 after some time we had people who built new maps.curtis said:From what I've gathered, lots of stuff will be modifiable but I haven't heard anything about an actual editor.
In past Paradox games, there was a cheat to click on a province ingame and get its provid.tombom said:I don't really mind either way. It'd be nice to have an editor (although unlikely) but I'd much prefer other features and text is easy enough. It's just the IDs that bother me; if we had a map and we could click it to get a set of IDs, that would be good.
BTW: curtis, I see you've changed your avatar![]()
I know. It's just a pain to constantly alt-tab in and out and hoping you don't type it wrong or forget it. The province bit is the only thing I use in the editors anyway.Jayavarman said:In past Paradox games, there was a cheat to click on a province ingame and get its provid.
Well, I changed from the Mexican avatar to avoid confusion with another forum member. It appears I have changed in vaintombom said:BTW: curtis, I see you've changed your avatar![]()
wordpad's a bit better for huge files, like editing province.csv because of the way notepad handles things.Sonny said:I think notepad is the editor.![]()
Judas Maccabeus said:I know EU2 (at least the version I got) came with a map with names, and it's been very useful in using to cross-reference between that and searching in province.csv to get the ID. Equally, it's annoying in Victoria or CK where I don't have a map to use.
Though map = costs, so I definitely don't blame Paradox for discontinuing that.
