Just want to start off by saying... 'I need another fix....' Wow, this game great. Nice job to all involved.
Now that I have the but-kissing out of the way, a serious question. I am setting up a scenario based on the GC, using minor powers, and Spain and France. What I would like to know is where to edit the strategies for the new playable countries (Norway, Papal states, Scotland, Aztecs, etc.) I assume I can use any bitmap of the respected countries and have it called withing the *.eug file, to show the map of each new power in the scenario. By editing these lines, can I change the mission desription and what strategy they should use.
scenariotactics ='PAP_GC_HISTDESC'
countrytactics = 'PAP_GC_VPTACTIC'
picture = 'scenariosdataPAP1492.bmp'
missioncountry = 'PAP_GC_MISSDESC'
missiontactics = 'PAP_GC_MISSTACT'
If no one chooses the country, is it possible to edit the countries tactics (i.e. change their behavior and goals)?
I guess I should try this first, but if anyone has done this and it works, could you just give me a message confirming this.
Thanks....

New AI's can 'easy' be created but I don't know what evry value in them have for effect on the game and if the engine (AI) can handle more then thoose who are in the folder.

Have asked before for info about it and still waiting for it, should be real intressting to add a couple to see if that can improve the AI for some countries.

I think the intro descriptions are found in one of the spreadsheets for excel. Just need to find out where, and if it will do any damage by editing them.

Just remember the game doesn't read .xls files only comma delimited (.csv). If you just force Excell to save as .csv (ignoring the warnings) you should be fine.

Thanks, I figured it out last night. I am writing a little VB utility that will allow the user to enter the description and strategy for individual made scenarios. Just a little dificult in calling the right area in the *.csv. Is there a better brogram to view the csv with, rather then excel. I suppose ultraedit32 could work.

You don't need to enter the scenario text in excel..

You can just type the actual text instead of the index in the scenario file.

like this.-..

scenariotactics ='Papal States is in italy and you need to blablahblah...'

My modified province.csv file caused the program to choke when it used commas. I had to replace all of the commas with semi-colons. Excel is still the best way to view and edit these files.
