Editing soundfiles.....

Seems to be unpossible to edit soundfiles or am i wrong? Working on charlemagne Szenario i tried to build in catapult sounds instead of canons. i used same name an overcopied the canon files, in game there no sound appears. Is there a way to change?

If it didn't work with overwriting in the same names I don't know. Did you get all three files?

yes all three files land_cannon1-3. perhaps theres in a file exactly written the lenght of all eu soundfiles. if theres one with not the same lenght it wont appear in the game...

i compared the soundfiles, dont know its important:

Eu files:

Bitrate 352 kbits
16 bit
1(mono)
22 khz
FormatCM

my files:
bitrate 177 kbits
4bit
2(stereo)
22 khz
format: IMA ADPCM

Anybody got a progie to work with wav files? I think the reason for not working is the different formats

Ok thats it, works only windows pcm wav files in game.
