OK, I don't know if this subject has already been issued, but here it goes: how can you edit the goods that a province produces? I've tried to do that, but I couldn't. I've edited some city names with the Scenario Editor which came along with the 1.07 patch, but my changes concerning ressources weren't saved. Wanted to make some modifications in Brazil (Minas Gerais to have gold instead of copper, Alagoas to have copper instead of grain, and also giving coffe to two or three provinces) and Ceilan (Colombo having tea instead of sugar), but those changes won't appear when i start the GC (the scenario which i've modified); all other changes are there, city and army names. Why not the ressources? :confused:

Open your province.csv file in the EU2/db directory. You will see a list of provinces, identified by their province id number and if you look down that line of code, you will see the good it produces. Just change that good, making sure to not delete any of the semicolons. If you are unsure what word to use describing the good, scroll around a little bit and they should be easy to pick up. When adding gold to a province, you also have to change the Gold value entry from 0 to a whole number. I believe the gold value entry is the last numerical value before you hit the goods section of the line.

Yes. Province names will not be changed in the map, of course, but will show the new name in the sidebar.

I couldn't make it... I opened the province.csv file, made the changes, but then got a critical error message when loading the GC:
(illegal province ID 0) 'known provinces = { 'line = 1920 file = scenarios\The Grand Campaign.eug

Don't understand... Thanks anyway, guys!

It looks like the province 0 has been added somewhere in the scenario file... under "knownprovinces"...

This is a common bug with the scenarioeditor.

Just open your scenario file with a text editor and search for the word 'knownprovinces' repeatedly until you find one list of knownprovinces that include the number 0. Delete that number and all will be well.

(If your texteditor can go to lines you could of course pop straight to line 1920 :))
