I have been reading and studying economics for many years, and I have come to a conclusion. The current economy of Belgium is not working for the great majority of Belgians, but Socialism is not the answer. I believe the answer lies in co-operatives, private businesses operated and owned by their workers. This allows for a high degree of fairness in the economic system while still allowing the market system to prosper and keep its economic advantages. In that spirit, I produce this bill. ((If we have no central bank, we'll assume this bill does nothing until we create one))
M. Wolff, I note that concept of co-operative banks was first raised by the Fabian Socialists in the United Kingdom some 10 years ago, and has been actively advocated by the Bruges chapter for a number of years now, although our position in opposition has prevented any implementation of such a scheme.
I and other Fabians strongly support your Bill. Please feel free to come to our meetings should you wish to discuss any of the other modern ideas of Socialism in our changing world. I think you will find that Socialists are not quite as scary as the RU makes us out to be. We are always be happy to work with intelligent men such as yourself in making Belgium better.

The Seventh Annual Belgian Challenge Cup Competition Report upon the outcome of the FA Cup, 1892
Please find attached the results of the Seventh Annual Belgian Challenge Cup Competition. My congratulations go to all the players at US Bruxelloise, who have become the first club to lift the trophy twice, for their well deserved victory, as they do to every player who competed for another magnificent display of sporting excellence. This year, the Duke of Benin's Cup went to Frank Gascon of US Bruxelloise and the Chairman's Cup for Sporting Conduct went to Chief Petty Officer Lucien Lavoisier of Antwerpen RNFC.

The Belgian Football League Championship Report upon the outcome of the 1891-92 Season
Below are the results of this season's league. Congratulations to all participating teams, in particular the victors, Arlon English Football Club, who rose a terrific 8 places to take victory, the league's joint best rise (alongside second and third placed teams, Westerlo and Tournai).

The quality rankings are varied by tiny amounts year-on-year; in the case of the cup, the scoring and conceding probabilities are increased and decreased respectively by (a random amount between 0 and 0.01) * [(the round number that the team reached) - (the number of composite loses {ie the team that loses to the eventual winner had one composite loss, and the team who loses to them has two etc})]. For the league, the scoring/conceding probability is increased by [(the goals scored/conceded that season) - (the average number of goals scored/conceded that season)] * 0.001. I'm not sure what effect this will have in the long run, but the results still seem pretty random at the moment... I mean, the average number of placed moved up by those teams who did move up was 2.625 compared to 0.8125 between the 11-12 and 12-13 seasons of the Premier League [ignoring promotions/relegations, which is still a larger league so you would expect a larger average]))

((Eh, I am not sure yourworstnighm may vote at all now, since he did not vote at the general elections. I think the whole new system is based on each player controlling a number of seats acquired during the election and prevents new players suddenly changing the balance of powers between elections...))

Once again, you have to put [your party] or I won't count your vote.
((If you already haven't put your party in your ballot, don't bother editing to add it because I still won't count it - post and entirely new ballot and note that you previously forgot to note your party.
And with that, here's a tally. Most stuff is passing, but Parliamentary standards is failing. Both impeachments are also failing - with Lambin L'Escargo surviving his impeachment by a margin of just half a seat. EDIT: L'Escargo total revised, he has a little more breathing room.))

((The Minority Government Amendment is passing comfortably. However, it is somewhat ambiguous on several critical points, not the least of which is how we determine who the largest faction in Parliament is. Just so you all know, what's going on in my mind right now, I'll do one of three things if the Amendment passes:
1) Veto it.
2) Institute a hard deadline for coalition formation. Right now we use one day after the General Election as the deadline, but I've been somewhat lax with it. It would have to be a harder deadline - one day after the election, the party or coalition with the most seats gets the right to form a minority government. All party leaders would have to have confirmed the coalition in-thread by that time or it wouldn't count, and all the IG issue stances and PM would have to be straightened out or it wouldn't count.
3) Give the power of invitation to the King, which the amendment sort of implies.
We've discussed this and many other possibilities and interpretations at length over IRC. I'm leaning towards option #2 right now, since it's the closest to what we already do, but I'll keep you appraised of the situation.))
