Also I declare that all farms with-in the State of Wallonia have state subsidies to help with the production of food for the war effort, may we survive the coming apocalypse.

My grandfather was offered the post back in 1851 but declined, so it does amuse me somewhat that I've ended up here 53 years later. So as to ensure I can deliver a budget with all necessary expedition, I would be incredibly grateful if I could have some information as to the current state of our finances and our current spending levels.

I pray to God that he will give us the strength to stay strong in these trying times, and I pray further that we, as Belgians, will be able to act when called upon to ensure that we can win this war. I do not like to see war in any circumstances – something many of you may know if my publisher is to be believed – yet there is little point now in merely lamenting. We ist act to deliver a swift end to this current conflict, lest out whole nation be consumed by tumult.

I do indeed, I was hoping for extra funding from yourself to help with such schemes, they can only benefit our nation in this hour of need. I would also have all factories that are contributing men for the war effort to receive subsidies, yet this would still have a major deficit to the war effort, so I propose that in offices that men currently hold, that can do the same, a woman can vote and run, they can surly work in factories. While there is no law against this, I propose that at a national level, that women are encouraged to work in factories and factories are incentivised to to hire women, so more men can fight the evil French at the front lines, May god help us, for this will change the meaning of the word warfare.

I must thank His Majesty the King and his Prime Minister, Monsieur Burke, for my appointment as Secretary of State for Colonies. It it quite clear that our overseas empire is of dire importance during this grim war, for it is a source of numerous resources and manpower, which are instrumental for Belgium in these sad hours. It must be both guarded and used ably. Soon I will present my plan before the parliament.

I must also say that I am looking forward towards productive work in the Commission for Motherland. For an old withered man like me is is especially pleasant to work with two intellectual and beautifull ladies.

I say we hang Williams on a tree once we finally retake Batavia! It is amusing how he is using propaganda to convince the lower classes that the Belgian mainland is trampling on their rights when it is we who are passing legislation trying to limit the abuses of the Dutch upperclass

I hate war and have seen the horrors firsthand. Half of the regiment of Amedians I volunteered with were blown to pieces outside of Bruges. However, we cannot surrender or we will be dismantled by the reactionary French.
