Feb 1st 1946 army
SU –5 Inf, +2 Marine
China +20 Inf
DDR +18 Inf
Canada +3 Inf, 2 Mot
USA +3 Inf, +4 mot, +6 Mech +4 Arm, +3 Mar, +2 HQ
Small increases for the allied nations that are still operational including what probably amounts to a 15% increase in the garrison of North America.
Feb 1st 1946 Navy
SU –6 CV, +17 CL, -1 DD, -54 SS, -8 Trans
DDR +10 SS
USA -13 CV, -13 CA, -17 CL, -38 DD, -2 SS, -7 Trans
Fairly devastating losses especially considering that my previous build rate estimates indicate that the USA should have built approximately 15 CVs in this period. There has been very heavy depletion of all unit types in the US navy. They are now at an all time low.
My intelligence analysis shows that there are 4 CVs in Miami and I strongly suspect 2 being repaired somewhere like the Norfolk navy yards. I saw a damaged CV task force disappear up there and then reappear as a CL with 2 DDs. This suggests a group of ships left for repair.
Feb 1st 1946 Air
SU –4 ftr, -2 CAS, +24 NAV
DDR +8 Int
This is odd. I’m not even aware of having lost any units anywhere which is a bit concerning but something I will just have to live with.
UK –2 ftr
USA +1 Esc, +1 ftr, -6 Int, +2 SB, -1 Tac, -2 NAV
US air performance is a bit of a mixed bag with new units more or less providing replacements for units destroyed. Having said that they have experienced a 10% decline in total numbers so perhaps I spoke too soon.
Overall the only real success has been massive depletion of the US fleet and the occupation of a series of bases of the North American coast. This puts me in the position of being ready to put the army ashore. I can either invade now and fight the remaining US fleet as part of the landing process or force further skirmishing before going for a massive landing. I am still dissatisfied with the force deployment in the Bahamas and I am tempted to wait for the remaining units for a strike in early April using my best “sneaky bastard” strategy to gain quick advantage over the enemy.
