You have two opportunities to gain China via decision and about 3 or 4 options in how to proceed. It's very likely the first time you propose the Chinese to surrender they'll say "no", less likelier the second time around but still possible though.
Do the decisions for how to proceed not occur if China doesnt surrender? because in my campaign I didn't ask them to surrender, and instead I just fully annexed them by taking all the VPs

Hello, I had my first run with this mod last weekend, it´s great I really enjoyed the flavour it adds to the base game. I have some questions though:

-It seems like some of the events as Germany didn´t fire. For instance, some pre-war flavour events like winter olympics and so, but also, once I had defeated Soviet Union by conquering the main cities, the bitter peace didn´t fire (I would like to know if I can divide the land in Reichkommissariats or rather liberate puppest, i.e. fascist Ukraine, other mods let you choose, just asking)

-Wich version of the base game works better, 1.05 or the 1.05.1 fix?

Thank you in advance, my main concern is the events´ issue, because I fell I´m losing a big part of the game.

Hello! I just finished my first game with Germany, and I was wondering if it is worth to lose 1500 mp to take the first option in the event Generalplan Ost.
It looks fun, but in my game I would have 0 mp left if i had chosen that option

@Rex_Gothorum In order to BP to fire you have to either:
1. control Paris (directly or via puppet), destroy most of SOV armies, not be at war with ENG, FRA, USA, ITA
2. control Moscov, Baku, Stalingrad, Leningrad/Sverdlovsk, as well as capture Stalin (if he didn't escape)/Vladivostok/Sverdlovsk
3. Capture plenty SOV VPs, nuke Moscov and either 8 minor provinces or Baku, Stalingrad and Leningrad
Just relentlesly push East into Siberia and destroy their armies until they surrender. After BP you get option to release RKs, normal puppet states or just occupy everything.

@Raznak1 It's even more punishing than just 1500 MP, because you get MP malus for 6 years that takes even more (I'm not sure how much, probably another 1500). You also get big IC malus, too. Plus annoying rebellions in RKs, so better build plenty militia or cavalry before you enact this decision. At least coring events don't require MP to fire. In the end it gives (together with germanization of Generalgovernment) plenty cored provinces together with IC there and additional ~70 IC from events as well as 4 fully functional (with cores instead claims) puppets on the East. IMHO it's good postwar ending.

In my last game, I invaded England in July 1940, before Edward would have become governor of Bahamas. From my game he becoming king makes sense.
Maybe an option to place him on the throne as the fate of Britain event occurs might be more feasible.

Still, I don't think that realistically allies would allow royal family to stay anywhere in Europe during invasion. I don't think that tying the event into timeline of Ed's tour would make sense. AFAIK NWO mod has event of capturing the prince by the Germans if they pull successful Sealion.

Well, look at the timing. In July 1940 he was in Spain. There was actually a plot, a German operation intended to capture him, but it failed. You could have an event that gives a chance to succeed and then after the conquest of Britain an event option allowing him to become king again. If I am not mistaking Robert Harris novel Fatherland, had a similar timeline event.

Yes, but it requires Sealion to happen in early or mid 1940 (still, for skilled player can be manageable). I'm not sure about additional event just for that opportunity. Maybe just general event mentioning about "specific location containing former king" with chance to fail :) More precise one for Mosley and voila. Unlucky player wouldn't have a chance to create Nazi UK and inward imperfection GB, just more extreme variant or outright partition.

Is it normal that my divisions are upgrading even if I have 0 IC in upgrading?

Yes, that was implemented in the 1.05 patch. I think the logic behind it is as your divisions receive supplies they're also slowly receiving new equipment.

Regarding the historical lore discussion in the past several posts, the fictional content is full of holes and there is tons of room for improvement. It just takes finding the time and will to make the changes.

I'm engaged as of last week, so free time is likely to be quite scarce! Thanks again for all the interest.

@nightclaw Japan AI shouldn't ever go Northern Strike path - if it still does, I'll need to take another look. There are just far too many problems for the AI to handle such a scenario and the vanilla events for the northern path are very underwhelming, unfortunately. Once I pick up modding again more seriously, I intend to focus on Japan and China with similar content that I created for Germany with the Generalplan Ost events.

@MateuszS Thanks for fielding some of these questions while I've been away!

@Rex_Gothorum I'm running the version 1.05.1 hotfix along with the main release and hotfix, which you can find in the link in my signature. Events like Bitter Peace not firing is a serious issue, and I'd recommend using the files from my signature's download links. I have included an option from the Bitter Peace that allows the Germany player to release national states instead of the RKs, though note that there aren't any extra events written for this scenario.

Thank you guys for your answers. Quick update, BP event fired mid 1942, and I chose to release puppet nations. Now I´m gonna start a new game, cause my strategy needs some rethink on what to do about the allies. If you allow me, I´m going to share my thougts after a couple of runs:

-As Germany, I follow the Ribbentrop strategy instead of Generalplan Ost. Since Germany lacks the numbers to settle such huge empire, I prefer the idea of creating a powerful core in the Middle of Europe, and use puppets as a shield and for resource farming. More or less what the soviets did with eastern Europe. I would like to divide some countries even more, because my goal is to remain as the sole superpower. Do you have plans to add more chains of events for this? I would love to release i.e. the Volga German Republic, Don Cossacks, Brittany, Normandy, Catalonia or Galicia (I punish Spain for refusing my alliance offer). I saw other mods that let you do so. Also polish borders under a fascist regime need some changes (they should lose Bialystok and get back Lvov.

-How do you manage oil? By june 1942, I have defeated the soviets, but my oil reserves are down to 0 even if I control Baku and/or Iraq.

-How do you activate SS units for production?

-How can you get the partition of Turkey event? I got the invasion oone, but not the one after their defeat.

-Is it worthy to invest in AA, forts or radar to turn Europe into a fortress against american air raids?

For now, I can only answer Turkey issue (I didn't play for a while and I don't have access to the game right now). To get "Partition of Turkey" decision you have to control Balkans and Middle East.

I've thought about different outcomes of succesful Sealion. Both Mosley and Edward VIII IRL were out of reach (the former in prison cell, the latter first in Lisbon and then on Bermuda). If one of them would be unavailable (Mosley dead in his cell or duke escaping to Canada or maybe dead, too) player wouldn't be able to create Nazi UK with Edward/Mosley in charge.
Edward told hitler that after the fall of England, he would go and be his Puppet king, meaning a chase is only relevant if the UK would decide to try and get him out of harms way.
Also, he originally was in France, then went into Lisbon to Bermuda

Just some tought abbout Sea Lion. I think Germany would make puppet nations, which would be easier to control. Nations like Cornwall, Wales, Scotland. England would be a RK. Or at least London and the rest would be different.
I don't really think that the Germans would just create freely a new strong and capable English nation after the bloodshead that the Sea Lion would be.
