Just a note, from an in-progress "superFrance" SP game....
In my current game as France, I forcevassaled and annexed England, Spain and Burgundy, and diplonannexed several smaller powers (among them Naples, Scotland, Eire, Milan, Genoa, Helvetia, some German states, you get the idea). I currently control all of the French and Dutch culture provinces, all but 4 provinces in iberia, and all of the British Isles, as well as parts of Germany and Italy and colonies worldwide (the only other "colonial" powers are Portugal and an expansionist Morocco in West Africa).
Yet (around 1785 I believe) I got the Eden Agreement event, which has something to do with a trade agreement with England. Which has not existed in over 200 years (being diploannexed by me in the mid-1500s). So who was the agreement with?
EDIT: After consulting the France events file, it seems the trigger checks to make sure that France and England are not at war with one another. It does NOT, however, check to ensure that England actually exists.
