Hi everyone!
I’ve just read the last governmental report about environment and its (non-) protection (see there for more information. Being one the wealthiest country of the world, Eutopia ought to fight for the protection of the environment in the island as well as in the world.
The purpose of this NGO is to insist on the dangerous situation of the environment in Eutopia. Its goal is to act as a pressure group to force any government to act in favour of the defence of the environment. It is not linked or sponsored in any way with any political party, it is completely outside of the political fear. All we want is a greater awareness about ecological matters.
Our demands are to be discussed with any person willing to join. But our priorities should be:
- signature of the Tokyo Protocol by the government
- favouring Natural gas as the main combustible for public and private transports
- increasing use of natural and “clean” energies (wind, sun, hydroelectricity…)
- a nation-wide debate about the use of nuclear-energy
Sam Vimes (temporary leader of Ecological Awareness).
edit: Members of Ecological awareness:
Sam Vimes (temporary) Chairman
Apebe
Murmurandus
Sebastian Fitzpatrick (AKA Silent Eagle)
[OOC: please post clearly if you join, especially if you are part of an organisation... Thanx]
