EB, Gamestop and Pre-Orders.

I Never pre-order any game online and tonight is a good example of why.

I pre-purchased locally at EB and I will have my copy tomorrow.

Many others pre-purchased online and have been told too bad, so sad.

This is a good sign however, although not for some.

It would appear that both EB and Gamestop woefully under estimated the demand for HOI. Looks like HOI is a hit and that may mean HOI 2!

Next time, support you local retailer, and pre-purchase locally (if you can).

Yeah~ I will support them, but the prerequisite is...Paradox MUST release their dealership in Asia first!!

I agree with you about pre-ordering online if you have a store locally. I mean, why pay the extra shipping if the store will have it the same day your "overnight" copy arrives, which is almost always the case.

Don't blame EB and Gamestop for "underestimating the demand". They use pre-orders as a way of determining demand; it's clear from reading this board that lot's of people didn't bother pre-ordering until the last few days. It's hard at the last minute to tell a game maker you need twice as many as you ordered originally.

I would imagine things are a bit different in Asia as opposed to the good 'ole US.

I've always had a 'thing' for Asian women though ... trade ya my copy of ... Nah, nevermind!

see~ that's the most tragic part...
when Whites think about asian goodies...women, foods, martial arts pop up in their mind

Eh, I usually get games the day before they come out in stores from EB online. Considering it takes my local retailers one week for "BIG" computer games to arrive and usually more like 2-3 weeks for most of them, I'd much rather do it this way I'd much rather have my Hearts of Iron today of course, but I can wait a day... just have to not think about it. Which will be hard. Just have to not see anything that deals with WW2 till the game arrives *avoids the history channel all day*

Backorder??? I can't believe what I heard!!!
God-Dxxn Gamestop~ it tricked me....it said mine is preorder when I ordered it online!!

but I think Gamestop won't be any better....
