Wow, interesting news here. Just saw PDS removed -1000 malus for joining the war. It looks like their typical mistake as it was in EU3 and EU4 at release, but it's not. Now, when one couldn't just ally someone 3 times bigger, it really makes sense!
If someone attacks small AI country it could just ally some neighbor of similar size and defend itself instead of just watching and wanting it's own turn to be annexed.
Even rebels could just ally your neighbors after revolting. It may look controversial, but I'm so happy it's there! It would prevent player from blobbing too fast!
I really like how those small features add up together and bring meaning to each other.
Yep, he makes quite a show in the video but basically it's not very hard to counter and if anything AI alliances too ineffectual with the rank limits since it's rare it can find enough allies. Also game requiring more than zero prediction? Damn.
