Most of you may already know this, but this little bs strategy actualy works.
When a huge army is attacking one of your provinces, any you only have like 10000 men, I suggest splitting the army into 10 of 1000 each. This way, when the enemy is trying to move into a province, you can keep them in put by simply sending off one by one, those 1000 men against whatever giant is threatening you.
I already contemplated this idea but it just hit home yesterday when I was playing as Spain trying to take over the Incas. They kept sending these miniscule armies against me and it pissed me off because I couldn't move out of my province and deeper into the Inca territory. I have to do something quick because my war exhaustion is starting to pile up.
