Well there are only so many times i can play brazil to learn this game. I was wondering if anyone had any suggested starting nations that allow a easy game.
I remember Cambodia has only 3 provinces?RELee said:A decent, fun strategy with Belgium is to concentrate on becoming a great colonial power. War in Europe is pretty much a losing proposition for Belgium, if you play it straight as I do. No manpower to fund large armies without some help from somewhere. That's where colonies and conquered uncivilized countries can be a big help. It's been a while, so I don't remember the particulars of who I attacked or when. Seems I remember taking on Cambodia with three divisions and a small naval task force, and then slowly expanded from there. The first peace treaty gave me a province or two as a staging base in addition to humiliating Cambodia. I then took all but the capitol. Third war completed annexation of Cambodia, and I had enough native manpower to expand and maintain a decent sized Asian presence. The three, starting, national divisions go back to the Continent once I have enough native manpower to maintain strength in the region. Remember it is very important to attach leaders with +reliability scores to those native divisions, unless you like having to fight your own divisions from time to time.
Yeah. Bad edit.SimoneZ said:I remember Cambodia has only 3 provinces?
The biggest problem I can imagine by going that route would be the high probability of having to defend yourself against a warmongering Russia. The couple of time I tried playing Japan I always seemed to get into it with Russia over Korea.SimoneZ said:Right. Step by step is good at controling BB. But I have to value for prestige. Personally I prefer Korea or Japan. Indo-China aren't populated enough. If Korea gives you 2 provinces, you have a boost in you population. I wonder that it may double you population playing as BEL.
