I don't think we have ever started this game, this early. I thought we agreed 6:00 EST for today. Anyway, I'll saddle up and be in, but I doubt everyone will be there. Still doing some work around here.

Good idea we can discuss it some more soon.

Terminator, we are going to be in game. We will host up for you when we stop next, and Geo will have his bot in the lobby. See you soon...

A good long session today. I am tired. I'll see most of you on Saturday, and everyone else next Wednesday.

A few things... It would be could if everyone were to read the rules, especially those pertaining to your country. As well there is a detailed description of modification that were made, called ScenarionNotes.txt. Both can be found in your main Doomsday folder for the EIR mod.

Thanks again for playing.

Cheers all!

A most enjoable session if you ask me! Thanks all for playing!

Cue here is a list of things that I would normally do or get with UK but was not able to because of changes in the MOD. This is not a complaint just a FYI!

-event late in 36 abdication normally gives me +2 dessent, I got +4.

-a combined total of at least 30IC or so was NOT available in early to mid 37 nor for the rest of that year; effected my build considerably. :-(

-event end of sept 37 milt parade -5 dissent, not sure if this always happens but i didn't get.

-Also, seemed like when I changed ministers I received +2 dissent instead of the normal +1.

Again, this is not a complaint however I am a bit concerned about some of these changes. I can't keep up with my normal strategy for builds etc....

I also need an edit: missing 3 fleet attachments = Capital AA,FC and Radar...one each.

All I can say is that when UK is totally vanilla. Originally when I set this up I gave UK and extra -10% "peacetime_IC_modification," but after the first game we had I returned that to normal for both France and UK and nerfed USA instead.

A democracy getting 2 dissent for changing ministers is normal. I don't know about the King George event. I never looked at it. I have now looked at it and all that event does is remove the head of state, why this gives 4 dissent, I don't know. Does anybody else remember what this event does normally?

I just loaded up UK in vanilla Armageddon, just to make sure that the starting IC alllocations is the same as the one that is in the mod, and if you perform this test yourself, you will see it has the same starting IC, in both, is the same. 147 IC with a -50% "peacetime_IC_modification."

The only thing that is possibly effecting you Industrial base is the impact of the "cancel_deal_threshold" which has been increased for all the AI countries in the game. This has made it very difficult to use trade as a means of cutting down on your supply costs, however, this is a problem for everybody, and probably even more of a problem for Axis. In fact, we spent much of our in game chat discussing how to solve all of our trade problems.

So I suggest you review your trade and see if you have any really bad deals going that you missed or accepted on the fly. In anycase, the "cancel_deal_threshold" is decreased now, as it is 1938, so trading should be a little easier. You might want to review your trades.

Here is a copy of the save if you want to take a look at it: EIR Weekdays Day3 Start

In other words I am saying that if you are seeing a decrease in your overall economic performance, it is likely because you are spending more on supplies, but this is handicap felt by all players, and that is intended to reduce certain types of supply exploiting that some players do (not meaning you of course).

Also, I edited in your manpower growth increase, which you lost due to tech loss, but not the three attachements. Please remind me again to do so before next week.

dude that king george event is totally whacked, I don't understand it at all..

Like last sunday I am UK and for the event I got 10 dissent, then 3 days laters it decides to add another dissent. I always reduce the dissent by not pausing when I get the event, and the very second I hit OK I switch to a different screen. Seems to stop the dissent from piling on and giving the regular 2-5ish. Or it could just be in my head, but whatever works

Well there's no doubt I am spending more to get resources........hopefully everyone is feeling that on an equal level........coupled with the peacetime modifier I guess that could be making the difference. Honestly it feels like UK is strapped, but of course I want to play this out for testing purposes.

The King Gerorge event is normally +2 dissent, and I forgot about the democracies getting +2 for minister changes.

Just so you know, I have played UK the most in MP out of all countries. :)

Weird.

I think KT2, that if I am going to edit these naval attachements, I am going to have to put them on your boats directly, otherwise they will just load up wrong again. Tell me what boats you want them on and I will edit the brigades in on the ships directly.

ETA, in response to your last post, the peacetime modifiers are precisely the same in the mod as they are in Vanilla DDA. UK is for all intents and purposes the same UK in both versions. Load them up in both and you will see this.

That's right the mod takes as its theme the Maoist propoganda slogan, as the the mod attempts a more nuanced reflection of the political dynamics between Japan, the Soviet Union, Communist China and Nationalist China in the war years.

Aye, I gathered. And since I really like that piece of music I found on a shady Turkish CD, looked it up and posted. Hoped it helped set the mood. ;)

I have 41 IC on supplies now, so no doubt that the axis feel the change much stronger than the allies due to the threshold change.

Hmm...I dont know what to say other than it's been considerably harder building units and dealing with dissent with UK. No complaints as of yet, but very concerned............

Just add the attachments to one of my best CA's thanks! All 3 to one ship! Pic a good ship Cue!! loll

Sounds like you got some bad events. Truth is that is the down side of being able to be full free market and professional army.

you going to change that hugh sinclair thing in your mod, that ould be helpful. But I was saying you need to add 2 dissent to UK at Jan 1 if you do to simulate like they changed ministers.

Maybe, maybe not. Maybe 5 dissent though, since Mr. Sinclair's body would be found floating in Thames with his wrists tied and lead weights attached to his ankles.

In fact, I did think I got rid of Sinclair. I think that was in the very first version of the mod, but that was the one were I screwed up UK and made it fascist at game start, so I just overwrote that file and forgot about the Sinclair issue.

Kt2... I assume you have been trying to keep Ghallager the +5 IC minister in the intelligence department, but on every rehost that scurilous Nazi agent Hugh Sinclair reappears. Am I correct?

Can we post these idea over here, in the 1.06 thread, it is probably better for organization: East is Red Multiplayer Version 1.06
