East India Company system requirements??

I know this might a be stupid question, but I noticed on the Gamersgate website that the East India Company collection requires the following:

3 button mouse
keyboard
speakers.

Now to do some pre-purchase questions, can this game work on a laptop, is it proven to work on a laptop?, given performance meets the requirements but I'm unsure with these....
