East india collection difference retail or steam?

I have now also bought retail version as i couldnt register my steam game. Are there any difference from steam version or retail dvd? Wich one uses latest version?

Also do you plan to sell the game on steam? Because my friends have asked for it but its not avaliable for sale regular way. I bought it from a shop retailer online. But there is no store page on steam

And lastly i love this game so iam wondering are you planning other trading games or versions for future?

Conjurer mentioned Conquest of the Americas which is ok, but I recommend the Port Royale series more.
