But if you defeat Germany by lets say 1940... but then both the CCCP and the Allies would have to defeat them, otherwise... it would be split between France, UK, US (if in the war). It was split between them and the CCCP, then the Allies re-united their side, while the Soviets.... were asses.

It would be complicated... but it would be interesting...
Or maybe if they had a new scenario, The Cold War, where a war actually happens. But then Germany would be split at the start....

The two states (FRG/GDR = BRD/DDR) weren't formed until 1949 but of course the occupation in 1945 de-facto created them ... as long as there is a reserve of country-tags (or even tech-slots etc.) I'm sure a modder can come up with a cold-war scenario ... maybe in conjunction with a no-time-limit-mod ...

The idea of having some extra German tags is a good one, in my opinion. Of course you could, and probably should consolidate these, but for example, you could have tags for a Nazi Germany (default, of course), Democratic/Non-Nazi Germany (Allied puppet state, possible German civil war scenario), and a Communist Germany (Soviet Puppet, or another variation for a civil war scenario, with communists and radicals as opposed to anti-Nazi/democrats.).

Hell, then you might as well throw in tags for a British puppet state (to represent a 'Vichy Britain' sort of scenario), a second Italian tag like C.O.R.E. has for the German puppet in Northern Italy...and who knows what else?

Paradox, hear us out. Tags are good, tags are great...so give us lots of tags!

if you look very closely at one of the flags on the gamespot diplomacy screenshot, i think you will notice that the bulgarian flag has a little hammer and sickle in the top left corner.

or maybe thats a potato, i cant really tell from the resolution, but i think a hammer and sickle is a decent guess ;)

I'm fairly certain that it's just the regular Bulgarian flag from that period:

Naw, the Bulgarians in the original Panzer General had some kinda shield/crest in the top left corner ... something that probably got removed after WW2 or the Warsaw pact ...
