So it seems there's no thread where people can post their wishes for moddability, so I figured I'd make one
Let's try and keep this to the relatively simple stuff, since modding features are no doubt not the highest priority for version 1.0!
My first requests (from a major overhaul type Lord of the Rings mod perspective, but this would apply to all other fantasy mods too, such as Game of Thrones, Warcraft, Warhammer, Witcher, etc.)
*Allow for 2D static portrait overlays
-3D portraits are great, but 2D portrait modders are rare enough to find - I imagine 3D ones will be even rarer! If you haven't already, please allow for the use of a 2D overlay so that fantasy mods can at least get preliminary elven, orcish, etc. static 2D portraits implemented, either via culture or trait trigger.
*A trait that provides immortality
-Needed for long-lived or immortal races, as far as I can recall, it took many years before this was added to CK2
*Government type modding
-So for example a hybrid form of government that is a monarchy but also allows for the raising of tribal armies via pops
*Population growth differentiation for various "cultures" (which would be implemented as races in fantasy mods)
-Everyone knows that orcs breed out of control if not regularly purged! But it would be an issue if pop growth is only on a city/province level, and not on the pop level - then elven slaves in orc provinces would be reproducing at orc rates?
*Disabling cultural conversion
-If cultures are implemented as races in fantasy mods, it becomes critical to be able to disable cultural conversion
*Cultural bonuses (inherent, not tech dependent)
-To pop growth rate, combat offense/defense, unit upkeep, research, etc.
*Reversable pop growth bonuses for civilisation level
-So for example a higher civlisation level would give negative bonuses, and a lower one would give higher bonuses
