Started a game as Japan today and am wondering about what to do first. Playing on normal dif and am currently diverting my ic between factory builds and infantry. If i remember correctly japan had around 25 inf div's to start with. I'd like to start the war in china as soon as possible but with 25 div's that's not gonna work. Currently China is at war with Guanxi Clique and i feel tempted to invade GC while all their div's are at the chinese border.
Any suggestions ?
What are my chances of getting Siam as an ally early in the game ?

thanks in advance

You can grab US mainland but is gamey choose. You can start at once war with China in February 36. Redeploy all your garrisons from islands to Asia and you have massive army. I bulid only planes and any infantry. Building IC has no sense becouse lack of raw materials. (changing ministers and going to central planning give you a lot of IC). If you want win win Nats going very easy way, than land near their capital and encircle it. Rest of chinease armies will be without any supplies so after year of non stop moving with 0 org, all the China will be yours.

Thanks a lot, guys. Can't wait to get to it.
Am at work doing nightshift now. Normally when i get home afterwards i never go to bed immediately, sometimes i read, sometimes i surf but i seldomly play since it could keep me awake for too long. One more hour till i'm off here and i think i'll pay China a visit then. :D

Interesting read but i don't think i'm gonna do it though. It seems a bit too easy. I don't mind going ahistorical (what would be the point then of playing Japan or Germany ?) but unrealistical is something else. The lack of hasty mobilisation for the US in case of being invaded would spoil the fun.

Well I usually build alot of planes, its really easy to grind the chinese forces away :)

If you wait for 1937 event, you need a bit more inf as you said yourself.
You do not really need the IC if you puppet China, but if you just annex - then its nice with extra TC. Hitting the 200 base IC mark is also a bit fun :D

Warning! Warning! It's worth knowing that the Chinese surrender events are completely broken. Any puppets created through these events will have no military commanders and will refuse to trade with you due to an embargo in their AI files. Solutions to these problems have been found, but involve editing game files and triggering custom events manually, which may be more hassle than you're looking for.

Annexation works just fine :D

Ah, I didn't know this. As these events will soon trigger in my current JAP game, where can I find the information necessary to clean up the mess? I don't mind editing a few game files and triggering events, if that gives me a fully functioning Nat China puppet :)
