HOI III is not that important at this point. The team is dedicated to HOI II: Doomsday.

I find it quite strange that it's seemingly so incredibly hard for Paradox to make real-life borders, or ones at least relatively close to them, where as a small bunch of modders did it in a relatively short period of time in HoI2.

CORE E3 Mod v.2

Pplmm proudly presents his brand new version of CORE E3 Mod ! Currently it has been adjusted for the new E3 Map (Europe, Africa and Middle East)*.
* It has been proved though that it is still possible to use E3 Alpha Map (v.1) with CORE E3 .2v Mod.

Main features:
  • Corrected province.csv file, which means that virtually no provinces with wrong ports exist anymore.
  • Terrain types and areas altered so that they resemble the CORE2 mod ones.
  • Rivers between provinces (separate them not only on the map).
  • New countries added: Free City of Danzig (events scripted), League of Nations and the Holy See (maybe I will use them somehow in the future, possess "invisible" provinces).
  • Some states in Central Africa, Moldova and Macedonia, Trieste, Fiume and Saar can be now set free (JoHo !)
  • (Quite)all events rewritten to fit the E3 Map.
  • New events reflecting changes I have applied (e.g. France deals with Germany to solve the Saar issue).
  • Truly Belarusian leaders, no Nazi generals in non-Nazi Eastern states.
  • And many, many more.

How to install:
  • Simple: Download CORE_E3_Map_.2_naval.rar and unpack it in the main game folder (e.g. Program Files/Paradox Entertainment/HoI II).
  • More complicated: Choose that file, unpack it in the main game folder and wait (only once) approximately 20 minutes to let the game create a new navaldist file.

I need help. As I said before I have problem with removing ports from some landlocked provinces (game freezes when loading provinces) and moving them to some coastal provinces without ports on the map. I know that to add any port to coastall province, first somewhere have to be one port removed because ports are limited so I've made two lists with the same amount of provinces - 22.
I always do it one at a time, but the problem is that I don't know what is "f***", it just freezes and doesn't show any error message.

What does it actually mean "it just freezes and doesn't show any error message" ?
If I understand you correctly, the game grinds to a halt while loading the scenario. BUT there's nothing wrong in it ! HoI.exe doesn't really stop, it simply needs some time to create a new navaldist.tbl file !... :cool:

A little tip: Wait about 20 minutes, everything will work well afterwards.
In other words: Сядзі ў будзе і чакай, што будзе.

Another tip: Download my mod and take advantage of the corrections I have already applied :).

Yes I know that creation of navaldist.tbl takes some time, but in my situation it was once nearly 80 minutes and then I've got my favourite Windows message that occured some unexpected errors and something that I'm noob and Bill Gates hates me, he needs more my money to update my system or something like that. Maybe it's caused by my version of HoI2 or my computer is really slow. I'll try to download and install your modification, if it will work, it may speed our work on province.csv file. And one more question: for correcting ports you used my lists so that I don't need to fix ports anymore? All ports in my list needs correct sea-zones or their still will be inaccessible.

BTW, I forgot to mention it (as I thought it should not be a matter of paramount importance) that I used the newest HoI.exe version (here) to generate the navaldist.tbl.

So, if my mod isn't working with older HoI versions or it's impossible to twick the navaldist.tbl file without having the newest version of HoI installed, please let me know immediately ! :eek:

The answer is: yes. I used your suggestions and attached ports to the correct sea-zones.
On the other hand, I may have added some additional ports and beaches (not many, maybe a few, but I hardly remember which of them I have created...). Consequently, if you notice any ports/beaches of that kind (not necessary), don't hesitate to notify me ! ;)

Would it be possible to include Suursaari (Hogland)? It acted as a sort of Gibraltar-kind island of the northern Baltic Sea. Meaning whoever controlled it, ensured that whoever had his navy at Kronstadt (Leningrad province in-game), would not be getting out to the rest of the Baltic Sea, or even to the most of the Gulf of Finland.

The fact that Finns held the island for the majority of WWII, coupled with coastal batteries and sea mining, effectively made the Red Banner Baltic Fleet stuck at Kronstadt. Which also meant that their ships could easily attempted to be bombed by the Luftwaffe. Once Finland made a seperate peace with the USSR in the fall of 1944, the Germans tried to take the island for themselves, which triggered the Lapland War. This clearly shows that the island was of significant strategic value. The loss of it enabled the Red Banner Baltic Fleet to operate in the entire Baltic and do horrifying crimes such as the sinking of the passenger ship Wilhelm Gustloff.

So my point is, put it in if possible and make it the kind of province that you require to pass to the next seazone, unless you're at peace with the owner.
