I think it would be better to have the RL Yugoslav CoA with the Serbian two-headed eagle and cross,Croat Šahovnica and the Slovenian moon and stars,or have them separate if the first flag is to be used.

Well, Kingdom of Yugoslavia officialy recognised only three ethnic groups, slovenes, croats and serbs (christians), besides, that cross is not necessary orthodox, it's plain and simple christian.Vladimir II said:

Well, I am not otimistic. And sincerely:
- first, I dislike the idea of putting any Coat of Arms on the flag;
- on both of your flags, number of lilies is, how to say, 'paran';
- the cross is not universal Christian, but Orthodox, as Orthodox cross has equal sides, while on Catholic cross one side is longer;
- and Greece does not use Byzantine symbols β (I have added them on the second shiled to test something, but that is not correct);
- your flags do not show equality of states - on one flag Yugoslav Coat of arms is over Greek insignia, while on the second, Greek crown is above Yugoslav;
- on both your flags, you are concentrating on some national symbols (Serbian eagle, Croatian chessboard, Slovene stars, Greek Orthodox cross), while I think that the flag should be universalised, to represent something universal for all nations living in the country.

Actually, these lilies represent some unique species, that lives only on Balkan peninsula. That is why it is used on Serbian or Bosnian Coat of Arms.
How about having the Greek flag,and in the upper left square have the flag of Yugoslavia,instead of a blue square?

Sometimes it's best to use the simpliest way. Why not to use simple flag coloured like Yugoslavian and Greek flag (colours from Yugoslavian flag, cross from Greek flag) without these all little regional symbols. Yugoslavia was formed by 3 main nationalities and it still had simple look, just 3 stripes in colours of Slavic countries without lilies, religion symbols or something like that.Sgt. I think the flag of mumia is good, but on a square to represent the orthodox faith (croatians bosnians and slovenian not included

@Mumia-you're flag is well known,as the Saarland flag under french occupation.Doubt that Gre/Yug would have picked that one.

Well i have a crazy weird sugesstion though im at school so i dont have too much access but why not take that Flag Mumia thought of and add the Greek and Yugoslav Coat of Arms in the center? something like this maybe?
