Smolensk is smaller city. Thank you for the map Miihkali. But since these forests are not denst, and are matching with marsh terrian, it will remain marsh. But i will keep your map, for Siberia and Russian Far East, as there forests are much larger.
Crimea has to be changed. I can reach any part of inland without going over any hills. Per our provinces I would have to cross the mountains to Get to the NE of the peninsula.
Someone who has more knowledge in Finnish geography could say whether Kajaani and Joensuu are really plains. And aren't Vaasa and Seinäjoki more 'plainish' than Helsinki?

Do not forget all lakes. Arround lakes is noble fertile land. As we cannot add all lakes as independent provinces, this is the alternative way to simulate them.JMJ said:

Consider the industrialisation that happened from 1936 up until 1970. As Miihkali said, today, we could have only reduced forest areas, not spreading of them. So this map is good.ADukes said:

Luleå: I live here, I think I know what to have for my home province, okay? The western lakes can be bypassed by every army that goes through the Luleå province, and since the only hinders are rivers along the coast, it's either plains or forest. If you think of marsh, you might as well think of hills since it's very hilly in the interior.

To capture the province, you need to capture the cities, which almost all are located on the coast (important cities). Which again, is hilly and rocky, rough terrain. That does not remind me of a marsh. I don't see a lot of Lakes in Alta province at all, just a few big ones. What captures my eye is the extremely rocky coast which, by the way, takes up more of the province.

I do not agree. But anyway, hannibal barca2 is from Norway, and he confirmed the province terrain solutions, so it will remain.
