Tested and it works.

Fixed! Good catch! 900 and 901 are indeed reversed. It's quite funny that noone else seems to have spotted (and reported) this fairly obvious bug. ;)

Regarding India provinces, I know that East Pakistan region should stay under UK control. Missed ids are in India:
command = { type = secedeprovince which = IND value = 599 }
command = { type = secedeprovince which = IND value = 1758 }
command = { type = secedeprovince which = IND value = 2091 }
command = { type = secedeprovince which = IND value = 1285 }
command = { type = secedeprovince which = IND value = 1288 }
command = { type = secedeprovince which = IND value = 1286 }
command = { type = secedeprovince which = IND value = 1590 }

This is an issue of the adaptation of the SMEP mod to the E3 map and should be posted there, too. But you reminded me of an another old HOI/AOD issue: if you grant independence to another nation by event the new nation will only get those provinces which are listed under minimum if you have cores on their provinces, too. I.e. the british surrender event needs a lot of removecore commands.

AOD/E3: One step beyond...

Using the adapted revolters of the SMEP4E3 project by Twoaxe as a starting point, I've started to expand the number of potential E3 revolters by adding all of Atruejedi's SMEP revolters and also by adapting all those revolters, which have been introduced by Nomonhan's Cold War/Modern Day Extension mod. This should increase the usability of the E3 map for these mods and should also allow you, even if you haven't installed these mods, to fully embrace the details of Mumia's E3 map. But I've to add that, if you don't intend to use these mods, you should at least borrow their leader and minister csv files to make your new revolters worthwhile. I don't know how detailed these files are, but it might be worth expanding them once the revision of the original revolters (U70-U99) is finished.

Is it just me, or the download link is dead? If yes, could please someone reupload if by some chance you still have it? It would be very helpful.

The downloads are still available. Please try again. ;)

Many people cannot use gamefront for downloads anymore for some reason unknown to me. I am one of those; I tried with different computers and browsers to no avail. Same for the CORE files for instance, but Tegetthoff provided a rapidshare alternative version.

I'm using Firefox. I've never had any problems accessing gamefront. I don't know if these were temporary server problems of gamefront or if they've made some changes which many browsers dislike. This has to be observed. :(

I noticed that the provinces Eskişehir, Ankara and Konya in Central Anatolia are depicted as mountainous, but hills would be closer to reality.

Thanks, changed. ;)

Do you have more proposals re Turkey? IC, resources, manpower, climate, infra or even areas come to mind.

I've made some changes to the areas in the Mideast recently. The anatolian areas need to be refined. In general the province layout of Anatolia and the Mideast should be slightly reworked but that won't happen anytime soon.

You're welcome!

You could consider detaching Ordu and Trabzon and adding them to the northern area.

turkiye_bolgeler_haritasi.jpg

You can use this map as a reference for the areas. But keep in mind that these areas in the map I've attached are based on geographical and climatic concerns, and don't mean much on an administrational basis.

Eskişehir and Hakkari should be in the temperate climate zone instead of Mediterranean.

Also, Zonguldak has the largest coal mines in Turkey, so it should have some energy output and probably some IC. Now I'm not sure how to handle this in terms of game balance, so redistributing some energy / IC from other provinces to Zonguldak is the most harmless way :D

You mentioned you won't rework the provincial layout anytime soon, but just for future reference: the borders of Samsun and Adana are a bit off. Samsun can be divided into two by a more-or-less east-west aligned line, making a coastal province and a land province. Adana stretches in a way that doesn't make much sense and includes way too much central Anatolian land to be called Adana (considering the city is located almost at the Mediterranean coast), also with it's current borders the province of Adana doesn't seem to include the city of Adana :) Currently it is in the Gaziantep province. So you can chop the coast off Gaziantep.

I tried the map today and noticed that many countries cannot support themselves - Soviet Union, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Yugoslavia and Switzerland all run out of rare materials. Soviet Union also builds a lot of IC until 1938, it has 269 Base IC in mid-39.

Thank you, I've revised the climate so that starting with Trabzon and going along the coast all the way to Gaziantep and Diyarbakir every province now has mediterranean climate.

Also, Zonguldak has the largest coal mines in Turkey, so it should have some energy output and probably some IC. Now I'm not sure how to handle this in terms of game balance, so redistributing some energy / IC from other provinces to Zonguldak is the most harmless way :D

To represent the coal mines of Zonguldak I've simply moved all energy (11) from the neighbouring provinces 439+445 to this province. ;)

re areas I'd add that the shape of the provinces don't represent the treaty of Sèvres which might be a basis for claims of neighbouring countries. The large eastern area of Anatolia is the armenian highland with the kurdish highlands and a small piece of Mesopotamia to the south. Several provinces are imho way too large especially the provinces of Samsun, Adana and Antalya. Changing Adana like you've described would indeed a good fix. But there won't be any changes of the province layout unless I teach myself to do it by myself. Having some lakes would also be nice.

Originally ADO/E3 was orginally based on the province.csv file of HOI2 so that we - tbh this wasn't done by me, actually this was done by Amalric - transferred the IC and resources (and also the infrastructure iirc) layout of vanilla AOD to AOD/E3 last year. That should've solved many inconsistencies but tbh the influence of infra upon the output of production does reduce the overall production as compared to HOI2. (Recently, I don't remember who actually said it, was mentioned that there should be more IC than resources available to produce some bottlenecks.) We've also tried to influence the production of rares by giving more cores to colonial provinces but that lead to a massive build-up of resources by these nations which actually didn't trade away the major part of their resources.

There are definitely some shortcomings of the ai re doing trades with other ai nations and I suspect that a shortage of convoys might also play an important role in the inability of some nations to be properly supplied. I've already added additional convoys to several nations to counter this but don't have the time to do some major testing. During the last summer/fall Jounk35 revised the resources setup for several major nations which you won't get to see until v1.08 is finally published. But I'm fully aware that many of these issues might continue.

The soviet IC build program is 'interesting'. I'm going to check my files to see why it expanded its IC so quickly.

Well, the soviet AI allocates up to 100% of its IC to construc province buildings, and is forced to build IC until 1938 - it is in "sov_1936.ai"

Seen it there, too. The max_factor should be lower, but the interesting question is why the soviet ai disregards to build new units. Usually the ai assigns only the spare IC to construction. It'd be nice to have a min and a max factor in the ai files so that you can exactly tailor its IC usage but the wish list is already getting longer and longer so I won't bet on it.

I hope that you'll continue your game and tell me how their IC build program has influenced their army buildup, especially in the light of Barbarossa which is two years ahead. By using the cheat 'nofog' you can see their buildup while viewing the ledger pages 22-24.

This was a handsoff game with Afghanistan, 1941 they had about 400 divisions and declared war on Hungary in may 1941, during the german yugoslavian campaign. Shortly after, the game crashes due to a save error.
PS: I use heavily modified build schemes
