I do hope that the AI will be able to use the new functions (and I also hope there will be some improvements to the Military AI in the expansion).... ohhh and please, plaease tell me we are getting some kind of War Score functionailty (I just don't think War Goals work very well without a War Score).
 
yeah, that is on-map now where you can actually see it. where it used to be in intel tab you can now spy on the enemy production queue

How will it work, exactly? Will we get "points" and be able to use them to "buy" techs, resources, IC, units etc.? Will the AI be able to use that feature, too?

BTW when can we expect DDs?

yes you get points to spend that are based on the scenario you pick (year), AI uses historical setups so doesnt use this (but points are based on the historical so should be reasonably balanced still). The custom game scenarios are scriptable separately from other history files, so easy to mod the amount of points etc if you want for MP sessions to give handicap etc to a particular country or faction

we havent decided when to do the first dev diary yet actually.

yeah its on the todo list. As we usually do the last couple of dev diaries will be dedicated to small stuff like this. Also all features in the expansion arent on the announcement so there will be more stuff revealed in dev diaries

This sounds interesting, but I can see tons of AI problems connected with this feature, unless you teach the AI to be more responsive. For example, if I give Germany several carriers in 1938-39 and the UK will be building DDs and escorts to combat submarines, then it's basically game over for the AI.
 
No SS units still I assume?


Will you guys be addressing the unit naming for each respective country instead of having all new units appear with English names (2nd Army, 1st Corps, etc..)? This would cut back A LOT of work in renaming units manually.

This sounds awesome. My question is would you be able to put Admirals or Army Air Corps Generals in charge of theater commands?
 
This is good! I like this. Everything you do makes a game better.
But why boring scenarios, and not Unthinkable in the whole world? :( I miss that HoI2 scenario!
 
Better AI

I'm really excited, the new features sound good BUT will their be any AI improvement? I'm still hoping for an AI (US and Japan) that invades with some commitment, a huge part of their force... I'm happy about the new things but please make a hardcore aggressive AI :D

How about consider a random leader? At the certain circumstance, sometime I feels the lack of leaders. If it is not important, then I wish "No leader" can gain experiance and random traits by conducting battles by normal.

And there is a small question. I appreciate to consider "change_tag" at the FTM expansion. Is there a consideration about it again in this brand-new expansion? (or changing flag more good.) I just(really, just) wish flag (and name as VIC2) or tag can be changed by government type.

( I know and understand really: It is a stupid and poor question. But I am just curious. )

Anyway it is very good news and I wish more power to you and all so that marvelous work created! ^^
 
Looks good but I worry there's a long-standing elephant in the room when it comes to end-game boarders - if you don't follow history the boarders end up really ugly or irrational. This means "Germans done, now to teach the commies" or "Germany done, now to free the workers from the communist ilk" becomes infeasible or too frustrating to occur. Will the add-on improve the end-game? (even if you don't have post WWII plans, the end-game is slightly unsatisfying as you can't set the map up in a nice way and gaze at your accomplishment without having random British/German/Soviet territory across Europe
