DYNASTY
Duchy of madness

Prologue

Once upon a time in Finland was a man named Erkki, he was the last surviving member of Juvaka family and leader of Savolaks.

He married a girl named Aili who gave birth to three healthy boy and a girl.
Nobody knew back then that these boys would become the key members of Juvaka bloodline, in their own special way.

Oldest of these brothers was Jorma.

Jorma was a very quiet boy when he was young not like his other brothers who were much more energetic.
When Jorma came to age of 18 he left Savolaks, went to Sweden and served in the grand army of sweden.
But he didn´t like it in Sweden and decided to move forward, first he went to Germany. There he met a beautyfull girl named Anna but few years after they were married Anna got ill and passed away.
Again Jorma moved this time it was England. There he started to learn the ways of catholic life and enjoyed himself.
Years passed and the old king died. His son became the new king of England and Jorma who had been his good friend for many years started working under him, as his marshal.
The king had a sister and very beautyfull sister that was and soon she and Jorma were married.
They had two healthy childs, boy and a girl. Boy was named Michael and the girl Etient, both raised as catholics.
Years passed and England fought many wars, Jorma served in all of them. King was pleased in Jormas work and decided to grant him the title of Duke, Duke of Lencester.

Jorma teaching his son

Jorma and his family moved to Lencester. He was a kind ruler, not like the king who killed his own people and was so cruel that some of his counts decided to pledge alliance to Jorma. King wasn´t pleased when he heard about this but he didn´t want to start a civil war.

Duke who ruled the Wales insulted Jorma many times and eventually was attacked. King was more than happy about this and went to help his long time friend. In few weeks enemy was defeated and Jormas duchy gained more land and more vassals.

Battle of Powys

Then it began the faitfull trip to Jerusalem, pope ordered an crusade and England was with the first who went to war. Jorma went there with all other rulers who served under England, not many of them got back, alive.

Crusade lasted for five long years and it were a total failure, King of England called all of his troops and marshal back to England. Jorma who was badly wounded in Jerusalem got back but was too tired to rule his duchy and appointed his son Michael as duke until he could rule by himself.

Ten years after first crusade to Jerusalem, Jorma passed away and Michael took his place.
Oldest of Juvaka brothers was dead but his bloodline would continue and bring glory to name of Juvaka or an total disaster.

This is were the real story starts, story called the duchy of madness.

So that was the prologue of the first tale in my Dynasty serries, there is going to be three of them about these brothers, they are separated stories, all starting from 1066, so there wont be same things in all stories.

This first one as you can see tells about Duchy of Lencester, England and madness.
Second one is going to be little different and the third is something else.

Ill be writing the first part of the storie soon as i can.

Part 1 : Michael Juvaka

Growing pains

Year was 1074 the old king Jorma was dead and his son Michael was now in charge.
Counts loyal to his father thought that Michael should not rule the Duchy of Lencester and that Duchy of Lencester must be divided to countyes.

In July 21, 1080 Counts of Glamorgan and Perfeddwlad started an rebellion, they marched towards Derby where they were stopped by Michael´s army. Both sides suffered heavy losses but Rebels were pushed back to Perfeddwlad, there the rebels where surrounded by Michael´s army and English troops that were sent to help Michael.
Battle lasted for months and in November 25, 1080 Perfeddwlad was under Michaels thumb, count of Perfeddwlad surrendered his troops and title to Michael. The count of Glamorgan was furious about the betrayal and launched an attack against armies on Perfeddwlad, count himself led his man to battle but was killed during the assault.
After the dead of count Morgan,In August 6, 1081 Glamorgan´s council were willing to make white peace but Michael declined it and launched siege againts them. Siege lasted for many months and even pope tried to order peace between these to country.

In September 15, 1082 Count Cadwgan ap Hywl surrendered his title to Duke of Lencester, once again Wales was under Juvaka family´s control.
Now he could spent time with his wife Grateria and his childs. He and Grateria had two boys Thored and Herman also they had four daughters Emma, Eremberga, Flandina and fourth child died at age of 2 months.

Making sure that bloodline continues

Michael wanted that his daughters are married at young age, and when they came to age of sixteen Michael started to look for husbands. First he started with other Juvaka family´s members in Sweden. Eremberga was married ot Jari Duke of Uppland who was son of Peter Juvaka son of Seppo Juvaka and the future king of Sweden.

Emma was married to Michaels step sister son Hugues and Flandina was married to oldest son of the King of England.
Herman the youngest of Michaels childs became a fanatic in heathen bashing,

Michael thought that he must get rid of Herman and when Herman was 18

Michael sent him to Marmarosa, to be husband of Adelheid von Franken, countess of Marmarosa.

Etienne de Blois, Michaels younger step brother was sent to monastery at age of 8, Michael himself teached ways of God and catholisim to Etienne. When Etienne had his 18 birthday Michael sent him to Dyfed and granted him a title of Bishop, this way Michael could control him.

Thored, oldest son of Michael who was going to be Michaels successor, was raised in martial ways by his father. Thoder was a quick learner and soon he began a good warrior and commander, but his father never allowed him to go a war with his father.

Part 2: Thored Juvaka

Revenge

Duke Michael Juvakava was dead and many people were happy about it but their happines didn´t last for long, new duke, duke Thored killed everebody who had been in the rebellion against his father and when people of Powys complained about starvation he did do nothing to help them but continued the war that his father had started.
Thored blame muslims about the death of his father, many muslims fled from Annaba and other provinces that Duke Thored controlled, because Thored was ordering mass executions for the muslim people and he also tried to send people from England to north africa.

He along side with his younger brother Herman slaughtered muslim in their war what lead to their madness, Herman Thoder´s brother began obsessed in war and military but that didn´t bother Thoder as he saw that as a good thing that would help them achieve total victory.

England helped them in their war what made it even easier to conquer these lands from heathens, muslims all over north africa tried to stop these maniacs but allways they were defeated but their leaders, their kings wanted to keep their thrones and sent more and more troops to stop these invaders.
In battle of Tel Atlas, Thoders marshal was captured by heathens, he was one of the best soldiers and commanders who served Thoder and Thoder couldn´t afford to lose him so he offered large sum of gold to the heathen leader Jaffar of Agrabah, Jaffar was most pleased and released Huques.

In every new province that he and his troops conquered all the muslims were killed and the women were raped and killed.
Marshal Hugues did many bad thing turing this war and some of the other marshal tried to get rid of him by telling Duke Thoder about his deeds but Thoder was more that pleased when he heard about this and gave a lots of gold to Hugues.

Problems of Papal controller

Thoder didn´t spent much time with his family because of the war and his childs had a rough childhood.
But when revolts started in Gwynnedd he went back home to make sure that they were punished but these rebels were not easy opponent and battles lasted for years and loss of troops were huge, ongoing war against muslims took so many troops and even England couldn´t help them because of their war against France and Germany.

In August 2, 1109 Thoder was made the new papal controller and year after he got troops from papacy and in June 3, 1110 rebels were defeated, Thoder hoped that they were defeated for good.
Rumors came to his ears that Bishop of Dyfed and other counts were planning against him, Thoder went to Dyfed and revoked the titles of Dyfed, Annaba and Malta.

Bishop gave them away without resistance and thought that he could live after this but Thoder ordered Hugues to kill him.
Feradach Bledris title was also taken away without resistance, he fled to Dublin but even there he wasnt safe, in August 6, 1110 he was killed.

Asclettin Flambard, count of Bristol resisted Thoders revoke and attacked him. This little war last for two days and ended in dead of Flambard.

Betrayal and Madness
Some thought that Thoder was a psychopath but nobody dared to say it loud until after he executed his own wife Isabeau de Baux, she was his cousin and they had lovely marriage.

Hugues had told Thoder that Isabeau had a relationship with count of Warwick Aethelhere de Beaumont, Thoder sent Hugues to Warwick to kill de Beaumont.

After that he forced Aethelswythe de Brevere, wife of de Beaumont to marry him.

Count of Devon heard about this and declared war agains Thoder, Richard de Brionne who had always been loyal to Thoder betrayed count of Devon but again Hugues was sent to kill those who betray Thoder, de Brionne was killed in January 11, 1111 while he was sleeping.

Count of Chester came to see Thoder in March 3, 1111 in Lencester, he tried to convince Thoder about his loyalty and that he wouldn´t ever betray Thoder but Thoder revoked his title. Lôrinc Borklan went to Pest. Thoder had no intentions to kill Borklan but Hugues wasnt pleased and so he went to Pest, tracked down Borklan and killed him.

Few weeks after Hugues came back to Lancester where he was arrested and brought in front of Thoder. Hugues tried to beg for his life but Hugues knew that Thoder would kill anyone who opposed his rule and so Hugues was executed by hanging.
Thoders schizophrenia got even worse and finaly he went totaly mad and killed his two sons, Aldwulf, Archbishob of Kabylia who had pledged alliance to king of England and Bishop of Constantine, Entiene.
His killed almost everyone of his family.

End of Thoder

In april 19, 1111 Thoders court members decided to get rid of him but they had on little problem about who would be the duke. Thoder had killed all his sons and only two daughter remained, oldest of them had dissapeard but the youngest Eadflaed could be the ruler who would bring peace. Messengers were sent to Malta where Eadflaed was placed, far away from his maniac father, they told her their plan and brought Eadflaed back to Lancester.

Some court members were not happy about this and rebelled in Gwynned but they were captured and sent to Sweden.

In December , 1111 Thoder was poisoned by his own daughter.

And now lets look the weather in Europe

West Europe

The weather in this area is very unstable for next 10 years. In Scotland there is going to rain lots of water and snow for couple of years and the situation in Irland aint any better. Area of England we change many times during this time, lots of heavy preasure will be coming from west. French has very frenchy weather but it too might change because of the rapidly changing weather in eastern europe.

South-East Europe and Africa

Weather in North Africa and Spain is going to be very dry for the next 10 years but some thunderstroms might come to north africa and even in southern parts of spain.
South-East Europe

South-East parts of europe the weather might change rapidly and many times within next 10 years but mostly there is dry and tropical weather and sky might be yellow many times because of huge sandstroms.
Eastern Europe

In the eastern europe weather is very good for farming as you can see the green area is where it will rain alot for nex 10 years but the there can be founded some dry areas where the grass aint growing.
Scandinavia

And in Scandinavia the weather is cold and very unstable, some heavy preasure are coming from east and west.
