So I was wondering if anyone had come across this situation before.

I was playing ck2 a few weeks ago or so and had a situation with my dynasty where no one made it past their 53 bday until like 6 generations or so. Not just my ruler but cousins, brothers uncles etc etc.

It wasn't until the 7 ruler of my dynasty came to power that he broke the curse. He took power after his brother passed away with no children (wife had to be barren)

Another curse but funny, I had a Castilian king or French can't remember where he had several sets of twins. I think it was at least three or four.

Let me know if y'all had anything similar.

Yeah I had a similar thing in multiplayer but that was player influenced. It was in a republic with some friends and bam my ruler would not make it past 5 or 8 years as doge or so before I was either murdered, or imprisoned and executed because I was too "expansionist". It was fun though I eventually just got enough money and power to subdue them.

It's just sheer numbers. There are so many people playing so many games that some of them are bound to see weird things happen. It's sort of like getting struck by lighting. Very unlikely to happen to you, but it does happen to someone sooner or later.

Envy! I kind of like my rulers to die before they become great grandparents so I can name the children.
I once had a line of about five rulers who all lived into their seventies(two into eighties). All my carefully romanised greek names disappeared for about a hundred years till I suddenly had a three ruler death stage over two years. (Including the death of a two year old, which wasn't even the aunt(and heir)'s fault.

Just goes to show, RNG gods may smile on some and curse others.

See, that is why I avoid landing my children. As long as they remain courtiers in my court I get to name the grandkids myself.

But not your grandchildren's children, and that was his issue.
