I must say, this game seems really good. The trade system is amazing, and my only (very slight) problem is how the nodes are permanently "locked in" to place. What are people's opinions on (perhaps in a future DLC?):
1. having the area which a node covers change dynamically under certain conditions
2. have actual nodes disappear/ appear on the map under certain conditions

Now, either of these events could be extremely rare/ require many conditions to occur, but theoretically would it not make the game more dynamic and interesting? I was just wondering if I was the only one who felt this way, or if others had brought it up before.

But, again, this is just a suggestion and as it stands the game looks great! :)

Dynamic trade routes would be amazing. I imagine it's possible to do trade areas that change like in EU3 so that Venice isn't the same static area, but dynamic routes that appear and change trade routes seems very complex. Maybe pseudo-dynamic route creation is possible where only predefined routes are creatable so things can change, but a generic system to account for a lot more possibilities is probably for EU5, if at all.

I don't think dynamic trade nodes would add as much as people seem to think it would.

The trade system overall is very dynamic as it is with the value of province contribution toward each node changing based on many factors.

Some kinda node de jure drift would actually hurt, because you'd be losing potential trade steering multipliers.

Conceptually, there might be merit here but I think we all need to see a number of full games first before we suggest a tinker with such a changed - and impressively well-done - new trade engine.
