Dynamic Music Volume Change Fix

So I'd heard about this problem but I never encountered it until a few weeks ago when I reinstalled CK2 on the new machine.

And so now I have the thing where if I pause the game to bring up menus or if there's a sound effect or whatever, the soundtrack music lowers a pretty severe amount. It's horrible. I love the CK2 music but I cannot play anymore without disabling the music volume entirely. Mind you, I've discovered some wonderful Viking Music to play alongside the game... but I'd still rather fix the problem.

So... what's the fix for this problem that first popped up like a year or two ago that I never experienced before?

I thought there was a setting in the settings menu.

Edit: Go to options, audio tab, uncheck "Dynamic ambient sounds".

But that's ambient sounds. I mean the soundtrack music. The songs.

Well I swear I tried this. I even showed some CK2-loving friends who told me the same thing and were confused when I showed it to them and it didn't work.

However, I clicked it and it seems to have worked! No idea what happened, but thank you!
