I don't think anyone is saying it's an equal hybrid.the idea that English is an equal hybrid of Norman and Anglo-Saxon cultures is absurd, and really just patently false.
But it certainly isn't either of the parents.

What gave you an idea that any of the melting pots, in CK2, CK3, or real life, suggested equal hybridisation? Of course melting pots are not equal; but, as @DreadLindwyrm said, the influence of the other parents is strong enough to consider the result a different culture rather than a slight modification of the first one.the idea that English is an equal hybrid of Norman and Anglo-Saxon cultures is absurd, and really just patently false.
This one is, surprisingly for some, easier: we do have the Dev's answer that the non-dynamic melting pots just keep all non-specific cultural innovations of their parent cultures, and this could be extended.
Ain't it how modern Western culture develops mostly? Merge everyone in and steal their advancements?)I see some potential issues here. If one culture is advanced in one area and another in another, merge them and BOOM, super-advanced culture!
Another issue is for those cultures that have culture-specific techs. If you merge the two, how do you decide which one they keep? If it's both that'd be way too powerful IMO.

Why so serious?)No, I don't think so, and there is no way in heck I am stupid enough to bite on this politically heated bait.![]()
