If this follows historical time period....
rommel would die within month...
is there anyway to save him?

They set some of your best generals such as rommel to die in 1960. (check the edit game and look at the files there) there might be an event for his death though. Also they can die in battle.

checked the editor....
dietl and rommel are set to die in 1960...
so i reload the game to to see if dietl can be saved...
however he seems to die in same day...
is there anyway to save him? dietl or rommel...

For what i have seen some generals have events for their deaths.
Dietl cant be saved as his death is on an accident event, for what i know there no such thing for rommel.

there are several general death events. they aren't sure fire, but very likely, at 80% chance of occuring. I do not believe that I have seen a death event for Rommel, so I don't think you have to worry about him too much.

confirmed--a quick ctrl-f "rommel" in the death events doesn't find anything.
he does have the possibility of dying, however, if the July Bomb Plot occurs--and fails, as that was the event that led to his 'suicide' in the first place.
