A bit of a silly question perhaps...

I have played most of my EU3 games in HTTT and with nations from most corners of the world. Now, that I have got DW, what shall I go for that makes a difference from HTTT? Japan obviously, but will it be any different playing any other nations compared to HTTT? Just doing the same nations all over again seems less fun...

Hints someone?

I haven't played HTTT in a while but Japan is one of the obvious differences. Japan has a new daimyo system where you have to compete with 3 other Japanese daimyos and try to become shogun and unite Japan.

Ming is another obvious difference with it's faction system. You can never really do everything (declare war, send colonists, build buildings etc.) at the same time with the new faction system (meaning Ming is less OP now).

If I remember correctly DW is also where the nomad system is introduced. The hordes (Timurid, Golden Horde, etc.) continuously (and automatically) declare war on neighbors now and have many new modifiers such as annexing territories automatically if they control it for over two years. Normal diplomacy with non-horde nations (?) are not possible though.

All these tweaks makes these nations unique so they're all quite fun. Hordes if you enjoy continuous war, Ming if you want a bit more challenge and Japan to unite Japan (though it kind of feels like an Asian HRE where you can't interact with non-daimyos without being shogun).

Another difference off the top of my head would be that the buildings got an overhaul in general and they all cost 1 magistrate now which means we can no longer just spam buildings.
