its not so much the thread diplomacy that is worrying its the in game.

All i seemed to hear was my own voice last session. Again i repeat lots of teching.

Remember we are supposed to be fighting wars or taking actions in general not just for clear economic profit.

The results of the elections

Holy Roman Emperor

Austria: 1 vote
Bavaria: 0 votes
Brandenburg: 0 votes

Pope

Poland: 1 vote
Portugal: 1 vote
Bavaria: 1 vote
Palatinate: 1 vote

The Holy Roman Emperor is Austria and the Pope will be Bavaria. The Palatinates vote will be scratched and since Portugal has changed owner I dont think its a very good thing to have them as Popes yet.

I am considerings ditching this whole idea with the Pope and Emperor, people just doesnt care. Ive gotten 4 Papal votes and 2 HRE votes. You cant vote for yourself and thus one vote is scratched from the HRE election, although I appreciate it that you at least took your time to vote. This isnt going to work if people dont care. If we are to keep this feature I want more people to vote or I will scratch this idea and well play without it.

Also, Polands completed quest last time didnt get its full reward, so instead of raised trade value he will recieve 500 ducats instead.

That is actually a high turnout. There are not many eligible voters. The people that are playing voted, its the lack of perms in the relevant countries that led to low numbers of votes.

Papal actions:

Excommunications: none, (or England if excommunicating Protestant rulers is allowed)
Inquisition: at the request of the Elector, the Inquisition is sent to Berlin
FAA: Munich
CBs: all German Catholic nations are granted divine sanction to forcibly convert all German protestant nations

I thought about this while doing the dishes, but still, we lack votes from at least one country that has a perm. I want every Catholic country to vote.

Also, about the Papal actions, I thought that you would make them after the session tomorrow and then elect a new Pope and then he gets to do his actions after the next session and so on. I dont know if you can excommicate Protestant nations, could the Pope do that in real life, and did it have any effect if he did it?

Btw, can you include IDs to provinces you want edited in any way? This to make it easier for our already hardworking editor. :)

nless you play England, Venice or NL of course

Your joking right? England had fought wars against france and in flanders by this point. Venice had fought in the italian wars against france and also against the OE.

Holland had many many wars too. All three of them have a history full of war and meddling.

IIRC, England didn't fight France that much after 1453 I thought...Edward IV was convinced by Louis to not attack by a decent amount of cash at some point. And I thought that they didn't fight the French much between him and Mary. But I may be wrong of course.
Venice was attacked mostly IIRC.
NL had many wars...but mostly for independence or profit. Or protecting its income...(which is why we meddled in Scandinavian wars of course)

Henry the 7th invaded briefly to try and prefent the annexation of flanders.

Henry the 8th wanted to partitian france together with spain. His invasion was somewhat more limited though.

Holland had masses of wars throughout its history.

Mulli were going to be gone for two sessions, this one and the last one and while he was gone Fnuco was going to sub him. From what Ive heard, Mulli will be back so all we can hope for now is that Fnuco will show up this time.

Hopefully LJ can sub france, ask him as I am not 100% sure.

Temu will sub myself and has been given instructions, I'll do the core edits then pass it to someone who is playing.

IRL AFAIK the Pope only excommunicated Protestant leaders at this time in history. OTOH not much about the Pope and HRE in this game is historical (Hapsburgs not allowed to vote for themselves! )
