Duplicate Map Created :(

So I worked very hard on my very frist map of my home town. Sechelt And then I found a few problems! So I saved a version of this map on my HD and worked on v2 with improved Highways, Railway Placement and I though I then saved it over the older map, but now I have two maps.

The problem is the older map has 26 Current Subscribers? How can I update the map without lossing all my changes?

Can I combine the two maps? Can I overwrite the first map?

Can we save all my hard work?

Why can't you leave the first map on the workshop and also upload v2- in the blurb explain clearly the improvements v2 offers. By doing so you don't end up frustrating anyone who has subscribed to the original map, you keep everyone happy! Simple straight forward solution?
