Dumb Question

Okay, at the risk of sounding like a retard...
I have never patched up mu EU2, I never saw any reason to patch it as I was happy with the original version, but now Im thinking about patching it up.

Will my old savegames still work with the new patch?

Anyway, I supose its time to patch... The only game I got running is for a AAR, and Ive only played 1 year of it, so it won't hurt to patch it up and play that year again...

Be warned... when you go to 1.06b, you are no longer playing the same game. It looks the same, but it's very different on the inside

First, congratulations for patience, especially after reading about things that were tweaked/updated/changed in the patches.

Saves will not work.

Patch to 1.05 if you want game similar to what you experienced so far.

Patch to 1.06 if you a game that is usually sold as Gold Version or additon or even new game (vide Stronghold:Crusaders). I mean there is a new game after 1.06.

Just installed 1.06b Beta, only played for a few minutes so I didnt notice much difference, well Ill go play properly now and tell you all what I think

Keep in mind Kurek is based in the UK (according to the location), and UBI out of the box is 1.4, which is quite playable (unless you know better )

Good thing you have those patches now, less bugs, crashing ect now.

As he said his "out of the box" was 1.04, which was very playable.

whats the biggest advantage of 1.06/1.06b over 1.05. i play with 1.05 and am rather very content 1.00 was a bit of a mess, especially the annoying peace deals between two ai nations after you conquered all his provinces.
