Dumb Question, maybe

It's been a while since I've played EUR. Now I want to see what VV is.

There's no Wiki that I can see and my paper manual (was there one?) is not in the vicinity, so:

* I see 2 Military slots under National Ideas. I can put in a non-Mil Idea in the second slot, right? Just gets researched slower, or s. t. like that, right?

You dont get the bonus listet dunder the idea slots.

At the risk of trying your patience, please elucidate? It's been quite a while since I launched this .exe.

under the list of the ideaslots is a bonus listed, it differs from an government type to another, so can't be more specific. The country only gets this bonus, when the right types of ideas are chosen, in vanilla though, it often happens, that this bonus doesn't matter very much, so you can as well chose other ideas.

you will loose the Advantage Bonus which is ok for a certain period of time but then you will want to fill the slots correctly.
