Not anymore in 1.43 "beta". See Compiling 1.43 thread post #1.

Even if marriage wasn't, why Courland couldn't "inherit" Prussia after 1618 if there is no other choice for the Duchy? IMHO, it is still plausible. It could be a pure annexation in this case.

Did you renumerate them? What is the last number used for Courland?

Yes, non KUR events were renumbered in correct range when moved.

Current information (in 1.43b) for AGCEEP_Specific_Courland.eue is:
Code:
#First free id: 206004 - 206007 - next: 206017
It means you must use first 206004, 206007, 2060017 and so on after 206017 if needed.

EDIT2: Brandenburg has flag ClaimOnPrussia set and event 258234 should be in scenario history

Edit: renumbering

Proposed 1648 setup:
Prussia is separate (will be inherited in 1657). marriage between BRA and PRU, and between BRA and POL (till 1657). Prussia is vassal of Poland. And in alliance with Brandenburg. High (above 100) relationships between POL and BRA and PRU. Between PRU and BRA above 200 (the same monarch). Between PRU and KUR above 100.
Prussian cores 289 and 290, protestant religion. BRA army from Prussia should be moved.

PRU should not be selectabel because will be inherited.

Only "Polish part" is missing (if Prussia wants to form Poland).

Modified events in chronological order (all countries together)

Courland should be vassal of Poland so can inherit Prussia (or be inherited) immediately for the AI.
Human Prussia can inherit Brandeburg immediately, Courland was Polish vassal so some kind or recompensation would be due but I skipped it.

Changed philosophy: Death of Albrecht will fire for Brandenburg (and finally lead to the inheritance of Prussia) every time (regardless if Prussia exists etc). Only human Prussia can sleep this event and human decides what he wants plus there is one chance for Poland if Prussia was vassalized and Poland (treaty of Cracov in 1526) did not agree for another bunch of Hohenzollerns. That closes path for creation of Kingdom permanantly, since without Prussia
Brandenburg coul not create Kingdom of Prussia. To eventually recompensate it for the human Brandenburg there is event giving claims and cores, but only if Prussia is owned by Brandenburg (so it is an option create Kingdom by force-majore (however it is spelled), but since Brandenburg does not have claims must pay BB penalty).
Because BRA event Death of Albrecht will fire most of times for BRA, option B was added.
If Prussia is not inherited by BRA or eventually by Poland, it can chose to unite with Courland and reconquer lands of the former Livoinian Order or, alternatively, by giving throne to the Polish prince influence outcome of next Polish succesion and inherit Poland (however the price would be high). Courland is always the fallback position.

Prussian AI will not get chance to form Brandenburg because Germany might have been crated and anyway there is no chance that AI will reconquer Berlin

	#-#After Thirteen Years War, Teutonic Order lost Eastern Pomerania with Gdansk (Danzig), so-called Royal Prussia with former capital of Teutonic Order Malbork (Marienburg) and became vassal of Polish crown. However some Grandmasters tried to revise terms of peace treaty, also by military confrontation with Poland. Grandmaster Albrecht Hohenzollern declared war against Poland in 1519. In 1521 four year amistice between Poland and Teutonic Order has been signed. In 1525 during the religious turmoil of the Reformation one of the early converters to the new religion was Albrecht of Hohenzollern. Inspired by Luther he also decides to secularize the Prussia into a protestant duchy. Now Emperor, German princes and Pope are furious with Albrecht Hohenzollern who still defies our rule. In this situation we may safely proceed to reclaim lands of the former Teutonic Order.

German version of the name is Albrecht, not Albrech.

Aber ich habe Deutsche Grammatik vergessen, enschuldigen :)

Sure, Albrecht, typo error.

Thinking about 1648 scenario setup I think that we could add royal marriage between POL and BRA ending in 1655. This will "simulate" fact that Elector acting as Duke of Prussia is polish vassal (and decrese probability of war before 1655).
(I have already edited my submission regarding initial relations between BRA nad POL to include this marriage)

Maybe I will add such marriage to BRA event in 1618.

Warum nicht... ;) (why not). To be submitted anyway with other modifications.

In post 103 above there is proposed 1648 scenario setup for Ducal Prussia. (Yoda: I have added need for BRA flag)

In short: events allow BRA to inherit Prussia even if it does not exist and thus form Kindom of Prussia later. They allow also human player to inherit Brandenburg, form Brandenburg and later form Kingdom of Prussia.
In our history Brandenburg got free hand (de-juro) in Prussia only in 1657 in treaty of Wehlau (de-facto Elector changed his suzerain in Prussia to Sweden shortly before, but let us skip it for the sake of simplicity).

We did not finish disussion about it so I am bringing this matter back.

Legally BRA Elector was head of two states and as duke of Prussia was vassal of Poland. As wrote at this page or previous one he could no rise taxes nor station BRA troops at the teritory of Ducal Prussia without permission of Prussian Diet, and Diet used Polish king as leverage against Elector.

When Friedrich Wilhem started his rule in 1640 he had to come to Poland (in 1641) and give homage, so at least in 1641 Poland excersised control over Ducal Prussia.

Yesterday, when I was skipping through history of Prussia I found that Elector got power of setting taxs de-facto (but still not de-jure) only in 1653!

So what do you think about setup in 1648?

Problems with Brandenburg not changing into Prussia are still unsolved and a game without Prussia lacks the whole sequence of events starting from 1700 to the end of the game.

I don't know i it was already discussed but why not having a duplicate of following event in the game which would check in the trigger if Ducal Prussia doesn't exist and no flag ClaimOnPrussia was set? Or even checking tha both core provinces of Ducal Prussia (Memel 289-Prussia 290) are not current POL cores?
This should be naturally be slept over by POL_258234 B and POL_258032 should add in the trigger the OR operator to check event PRU_263009 or PRU not existing.

#-#After years of illness the last Duke of Prussia from the Hohenzollern-Ansbach line, Albrecht Friedrich, died. According to the Treaty of Cracov from 1525, after the Prussian branch of the Hohenzollern family, the lands of the Duchy of Prussia were to be incorporated into Poland. However this was changed with the decision of the Polish Sejm on the 5th of may 1611. The Hohenzollern-Brandenburg branch was therefore allowed to rule the Duchy.

Considering that there is another event which lets Brandenburg claim Prussian territories and title, that is PRU not exists and the provinces of Prussia and Memel are owned by Brandenburg we could have this new event like the ones already in the game for the succession of Pomerania. If the concerned country isn't any longer in the game, the cores are always granted.

As it is now Brandenburg can become Prussia only if Prussia exists and with the flag Claims on Prussia or both Prussian core provinces are owned by Brandenburg.

The whole sequence between PRU, POL and BRA seems to be very tricky and expecially with the possibility for Poland to inherit Prussia and ahistorically keep it. It seems that as it is now, current sequence lets Poland easily annex ducal Prussia instead of Brandenburg imo.

EDIT: and why there isn't any POL event to release Prussia and grant it to Brandenburg? Why not? ;)

Good ideas.
The only event I can think of is one BRA event checking if Prussia doesn't exist, no flag ClaimonPrussia is set, events BRA_132007 B or BRA_3524 B weren't chosen, Poland or Courland have no core on Prussia (290).

The command lines would have the addition of cores to Memel and Prussia like the reworked 3524 action A. Eventhist will be changed accordingly of course.

As for now I can't say which startdate/deathdate should this event have, since Poland get cores on Prussia by event POL_258231 B, firing until 1660 and Courland in 1618 but only if Brandenburg doesn't exist.

I would however suggest 1619-1740 as time span. In 1619 the Hohenzollern dynasty ruling over ducal Prussia ended, so... :D

Hi everyone

Playing AGCEEP (actually it was ExtraWATK, but this event is exactly the same in both modes) I noticed, that Poland can gain core on Prussia either if Albrecht Hohenzollern defy being Polish vassal (B in event no. 263020) or if flag [PrussiaClaimed] is set (B option in 258231, trigger by 263020A). What if Poland conquered Prussia earlier and were able to keep them, not releasing Teutonic Order as vassal and Duchy of Prussia was never formed? I think there should be possibility of gaining core as well. It can be done in two ways – the simplest, and probably to easy way, is to change trigger in 258231:

Code:
id = 258232
	trigger = {
		owned = { province = 290 data = -1 } #Prussia
		owned = { province = 289 data = -1 } #Memel
		NOT = { exists = PRU }
		OR = {
		flag = [PrussiaClaimed]
		NOT = { event = 263020 }#Ducal Prussia never formed
		}
	}

or by these events:
Code:
#(1524-1540) Treaty of Cracov, ahistorical
event = {
	id = XXX
	trigger = {
		owned = { province = 290 data = -1 }
		NOT = { exists = PRU }

However, knowing that this would earn him the eternal enmity of his former Order he had to go for help with its greatest enemy, Poland-Lithuania. Thus he managed to pull through, but at the price of becoming a Polish Vassal.

Perhaps additional event for Polish-Prussian alliance is needed, to prevent the latter one from being DoWed by allies of Poland:

	}
}

I wonder if LIV_381000 should be triggerd by Livonian Order being either catholic or counterreform, protestant and secular duchy probably would not bother. By the way – isn'tt it suitable to change name Livonian Order to Livonian Confederation? Firstly, it is more historically accurate, as it was federation of several ecclesiastical states, secondly, it looks a bit silly if in XVI century Livonian Order goes protestant:) Livonian Confederation can be proper name for protestant country as well.
