.DS_Store Mac Crash (With Solution)

OS X creates .DS_Store files in all folders. So any folder that is opened gets a .DS_Store, and then the hoi4 exe crashes when loading directories with files such as /common/, etc.

Please modify the file loading function to ignore any file named .DS_Store, just like it must ignore Thumbs.db on Windows, I assume.

Thanks but I'm not modding my operating system to make HOI4 work better They have to fix HOI4.

In the meantime, here is a better solution:

find /Users/username/Documents/Paradox\ Interactive/Hearts\ of\ Iron\ IV/mod/auguststorm -name ".DS_Store" -delete
find /Users/username/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Hearts\ of\ Iron\ IV -name ".DS_Store" -delete​

Yes. Obviously, they need to fix this. But, the Mac OS recreates these files as fast as you can delete them. Until they fix this issue, the only solution is to either to hack the OS to prevent it from creating them or to cause the OS to create them somewhere else.
