I was wondering in the future if it would be possible for you to drive your own vehcile or car like in the Sim City 4 rush hour. Seen as you can already follow a car, how hard would it be to control it? I thought it would be a really cool feature which I would definitely pay for as an expansion in the future!

Your thoughts?

P.s. Loving the game! Can't thank you enough.

+1

I used UDI missions in Simcity 4 to test out my road network, or to create general accident chaos by crashing trucks into cars when I was bored. Would buy this optional feature even as a DLC.

I don't have this game yet, but it would be really fun to drive a car in semi-top-down view. Especially on the funny-looking interchanges and roads. :p

It would be great, the problem is - except for water, there is very little physics in this game. I've seen cars drive through other cars and objects. So, without physics engine, driving through the city wouldn't be much fun.

Unless it was first Pearson mode inside your car i would find it uninteresting, and i don't think they should waist time making that when so many other cool things could be added instead.

I thought the U-Drive-It missions in SC4 were kind of weak. I didn't totally dislike the idea but the controls and point of view was terrible and easier to crash than to drive in a sensible manner.

What I would rather see is the ability to follow CIMs, cars, trains etc in a first person mode/view so I can view my city from right down in it with my CIMs.

Yeah just make a 1st Pearson View cam, would be easier and cooler.

It's one of the features I love most in the A-Train 9 3.0 game. It has a great 1st person/drivers view from your trains and buses/trucks and I've spent plenty of time admiring my (unfinished) city in that view. It's something I wish a lot more city builder/transport sims (Transport Tycoon, Train Fever), its just a really nice way to view the world and relax for a little while. Its the kind of thing I like to do while I'm waiting for enough money to do the next expansion + I often think taking the time to watch the world working helps in planning things out.

There is a FPV-mod out there, but I can't make it work together with the follow-function. Yes, it would be nice to actually drive your own car, but to me it would be cooler to be a passenger in a vehicle. Click the follow-button and lower the camera all the way down to the ground and then just sit back and relax, looking at the bus route you just created.
