Decade 1: Discovering Xeno Lifeforms while Fighting the Deep State

The Maga are a species of genderless fungoids that visually stand out due to their characteristic white trunk and large colored cap. While capable of movement, most Magas prefer to stay immobile and rarely move far from their domicile and workplace. As a species, Magas stand out among the other species of the galaxy with their intense dislike of manual labor, wasteful habits, and resistance to ideas that do not fit historical precedence. Indeed, the laziness of the Magas is legendary; individual fungoids only have one name composed of at most 3 syllables, compared to Maweer names which consist of 3 words. However, when compared to the other species inhabiting the galaxy, Magas are exceptionally long-lived, with an average life span of 160 standard years, compared to the average of 80 standard years.

The major visual distinction between the individual Magas is the color of their caps. Most Maga caps are blue or purple in color, but some are red. Rare is the orange colored cap, which the Maga people attribute to be a sign of divine blessing.

chapter1_pic1.jpg

The Maga government is unique in the galaxy, in that it functions more like a family-run mafia-like cult than a government. The family leader always takes the name Trump*1, and controls all major decisions through its Trump Organization (TO for short). What started as a front business for money laundering grew into a global criminal empire once the TO began to subvert televised religious broadcasts. Through the churches, Trump and its offspring were able to manipulate the red Magas and turn them into cult followers. These red caps formed the core of the TO's political base, and eventually legitimized the orange cap Trump's*2 entry into the political world. Once in power, the TO used blackmail and the threat of violence to usurp control of the global government.

After the power grab was complete, the orange Trump largely sat back and siphoned money into its front business. Technological progress and expansion into space was stalled for decades. It wasn't until the night before the orange Trump's 200th birthday that Maga society began to expand beyond its homeworld of Trumpland. By all accounts, the orange Trump woke suddenly during the night screaming the word "covfefe" and declaring "it must be mine!". After waking its advisors, it began to frantically declare a search for "covfefe" in between bites out of its favorite brand of hamderbers. Not knowing what exactly a "covfefe" was, the advisors were nevertheless threatened with violence to find it. In a show of creativity, the consigliere stated that "covfefe" must be in outer space. Satisfied with the answer, and not realizing it was a ruse to buy time until the orange Trump's death from old age, the orange Trump ordered the creation of a space force that would venture beyond the Trumpstar system and find "covfefe". Because orange caps were considered a divine blessing in Maga society, this decree was turned into a religious commandment. All efforts for the next 100 years were spent finding the secret to FTL travel, and by extension find "covfefe".

In 2200, the first hyperspace drive equipped starships came online: three corvettes, a science vessel, and a construction vessel.
chapter1_pic2.jpg

The science ship began by scanning the stars immediately surrounding Trumpstar, while a second ship would be constructed and sent to scan the core-ward cluster of stars. Meanwhile, technological progress was refocused to the studies of fusion power, nanomechanics, and biodiversity studies.

chapter1_pic3.jpg

It wasn't until June 6 of 2201 that the Magas found evidence of xeno life forms. On the moon classified as Dorellion IIIa, simple life forms were detected as well as ruined structures.

chapter1_pic4.jpg

Up until this moment, there was an aspect of Maga society known only as the Deep State by the TO. What exactly the Deep State was changed based on the propaganda needs at the time, but in general the Deep State was defined as government employees and politicians who refused to fall in line. Terror attacks would often be attributed to the Deep State, and it was widely considered among those in the TO that the Deep State was nothing more than an enemy fabricated by previous Trumps to keep the general population paranoid and distrustful of the regular government.

The proof of existence of alien intelligence, even if it was ruined structures, shocked the Magas. The shock was so great, that shortly after a June 15, 2201 speech by the current Trump regarding national purity in the face of an unknown xeno threat, a hidden religion known as the Temple of Unity attempted a coup against the TO. To the surprise of everyone in the TO, it turned out there really was a Deep State, though not the same one portrayed by the propaganda media outlets.

chapter1_pic5.jpg

The coup was not successful, and the survivors escaped in 3 corvettes to the toxic planet Uggudasch. Two more corvettes were constructed, and the 5 ship Glolindus Starfleet under the command of admiral Glopp attacked the rebels. After 5 months of fighting, 2 of the 3 Deep State ships were destroyed and the third disabled. Recovery of the computer banks showed three more Deep State fleets had been assembled before the coup attempt, but did not join the fighting. The closest of the 3 fleets was in the nearby Qurus system. Admiral Glopp was ordered to return its fleet to Trumpstar for repair and refit. Analyses of the battle found that the armament of the corvettes would be more efficient if one of the two mass drivers was replaced with a red laser.

While the battle was taking place above Uggudash, the two science vessels continued to explore the surrounding star systems. One ship found archeological evidence of a massive multi-species federation that existed in Maga space some 2 million years before. While no evidence has been found of existing xeno nations, the fact that such a large nation existed in this area and quite possibly extinct caused the TO to begin a campaign of expansion in order to safeguard the Maga species.

chapter1_pic7.jpg

On December 9, 2202, Glolindus Starfleet set course to the Qurus system. The battle would begin on March 1, 2203 and end on April 14, 2203 with no loss of TO ships. The armament change resulted in greatly increased damage efficiency, from 63% during the previous battle to 94% during the battle of Qurus.

chapter1_pic8.jpg

Following the battle, the TO continued to expand consumer industry on Trumpland and exploration continued in both the surrounding star cluster and the core-ward star cluster while attempting the track down the remaining 2 rebel fleets. It was on November 2, 2204 that the first encounter with xeno spacefaring vessels occurred in the Aldebaran system in the core-ward star cluster. Initial readings showed the vessels as being armed and weapons activated. To Trump, the presence of hostile vessels only validated its decision to expand Maga territory and increase resource production.

chapter1_pic9.jpg

Part of the implementation of Trump's expansion policy was the scouting for habitable planets. One such planet had already been found in 2201, but the planet's climate was not suitable for Maga habitation without the use of extensive life support systems. On March 15, 2205 planet Gedexus III was mapped. With a climate very similar to Trumpland and with a little more landmass, Gedexus III was the first colony candidate found by Maga explorers. The planet was lacking in natural resources when compared to Trumpland, but it did have a deposit of unique resources not found naturally in any of the star systems yet surveyed.

chapter1_pic10.jpg

By June 30, 2206 both remaining Deep State fleets had been identified. The fleet located in the Tureis system consisted of 4 corvettes while the fleet located in the Brustam system consisted of 3 corvettes and a ship of unknown design. Admiral Glopp was ordered to the Tureis system with its 5 corvettes.

chapter1_pic11.jpg

The battle was uneventful. No TO ships were lost, while all Deep State ships were destroyed.

While the battle was taking place, innovations in engineering and society research led to advances in researcher efficiency. Research efforts were refocused on afterburner engines and genome mapping.

Meanwhile, on May 5, 2207 Maga explorers stumbled across another example of xeno life, this time a massive organic spaceborne alien craft. The explorer retreated from the system before detailed scans were made, but later this creature would be called a Space Amoeba.

chapter1_pic12.jpg

Initial scouting reports of the last Deep State fleet showed it contained a large vessel of unknown design, but containing 2 large red laser mounts and 6 medium red laser mounts. To combat this vessel an additional 5 corvettes were constructed for Glolindus Starfleet.

The Battle of Brustam went better than Admiral Glopp expected. The three corvette escorts were dispatched with no losses, and while the unknown vessel had large weapons, the ship had difficulty targeting Glopp's corvettes. The battle ended with the loss of one corvette.

chapter1_pic13.jpg

The large warship was not fully destroyed. Enough remained of the debris to allow a boarding party to extract the data core. Science officers onboard the admiral's flagship managed to locate the shipyard that built the Deep State ships. Unfortunately for Science Officer Ump and its vessel the TOS Blurp'Ator, it was not notified of the shipyard's location before entering the Lothandra system, where a Deep State fleet ambushed and destroyed the science vessel.

1. Other spellings suggested by the translators are Drump and Dump. Considering the connotation those words have in English, Trump was chosen in this work. It is not known why the leader of this criminal organization changes its name to Trump when it gains the position.
2. There are competing sources from before the political rise of this Trump regarding whether the orange color was natural or faked. The publisher takes no stance on whether the color is genuine or not.

For those who have not read my HOI3 AARs, I will be writing in a history-book style and edit placeholder posts with the actual chapters. This AAR will be considered complete when my empire owns the Covfefe star system, wherever it may be physically located.

First chapter up, I hope you all enjoy it :D I definitely laughed when I saw the starting ruler's agenda and when the cult event fired.

Sounds interesting. I too have a criminal AAR on the go - ableit I haven't actually started the gameplay yet as I am having fun with the backhistory.

wait, there actually *is* a covfefe star system?

Yes, there is one. I had a size 25 gaia planet in it during my previous game, which is what prompted me to start this AAR.

Decade 2: First Contact

The fight against the Deep State during the previous decade saw numerous gains, with 4 fleets destroyed and all assets on Trumpland confiscated. One corvette and a science ship were lost during the fighting. The loss of the TOS Blurp'Ator was not without benefit. Science officer Ump managed to send its scan data to the Space Force, which showed the composition of the shipyard's and fleet's defenses. An attack using Glolindus Starfleet would not be strong enough to defeat the Deep State defenses in the system. The TO spent the next seven years pursuing a program of military expansion, including the construction of a second alloy factory and using the black market to acquire enough resources to build 11 more corvettes. All non-military alloy expenditures were halted during this time period.

That is not to say that the TO was completely idle during this time period. A second colonization candidate was found in the Tureis system. Tureis III contained far more habitable land than Gedexus III or even Trumpland itself. Compared to Gedexus III, Tureis III had more arable farmland, but overall fewer resources than Trumpland. Tureis III would eventually become the first Maga colony, named Phlegmia*1. Phlegmia would not be settled this decade due to the military buildup to fight the Deep State.

chapter2_pic1.jpg

Technological advances continued to be made during the second decade. Advancements were made to Quantum Theory, afterburners, and even true planetary unification was achieved. Prior to September 2218, Trumpland's civil governing body consisted of 3 separate national governments, where the heads of state and decision makers were all employed by the TO. While the planetary government was unified in practice, having 3 separate national governments helped create the illusion that the general public had a say in their local government policies and positions. The situation suited the TO up until the discovery of intelligent life in the Urallion system.

chapter2_pic2.jpg

Unlike the drones and space amoeba, this craft did not immediately attack the Space Force science vessel, but instead attempted to communicate. Further exploration into the Caehines system found that the xeno civilization had begun a mineral extraction operation. While the star base was armed, it did not engage the science vessel.

While communication with the xenos was not yet possible, Trump worried about how to interact with the xenos once communication had been established. "What would they think if the aliens saw a disunited planetary government? Would that be a sign of weakness?", Trump was quoted as asking its advisors.

The new government was formed with compromises. The 3 world leaders, despite the blackmail against them, threatened to finally arrest Trump and dissolve its front company rather than cede all power to the organization. Knowing that would cause a global civil war that would be made all the worse with the Deep State shipyard still in operation, Trump made a deal. The planetary parliament would be composed of politicians "elected" by the general population, and the candidates would be chosen based on the amount of leverage the TO had on them. The face of the government would be selected every 20 years by majority vote of the Trump family and the other oligarchic families. Trump would become the first CEO-Führer-President (a title of Trump's creation), and an election for the next CEO-Führer-President would begin on January 1, 2220. This way, a united position of strength would be presented to the xenos. Also, it would legitimize the TO's criminal activities and allow for easier skimming off the top of government projects, a fact that was not lost on Trump.

The composition of the first global Trumpland parliament.

chapter2_pic3.jpg

On June 17, 2218, Glolindus Starfleet engaged and defeated the Deep State shipyard's defense fleet with no casualties during a month-long battle in the Lothandra system. Two corvettes had sustained minor damage to the hull. After allowing the shields to recharge, Admiral Glopp attacked the shipyard itself. The shipyard was destroyed with no casualties, and in the data cores Space Force found the location of the Deep State leader.

chapter2_pic4.jpg

Admiral Glopp could not immediately go after the Deep State leader, as a crisis had begun on Trumpland. On October 3, 2218, a transmission was received from the core-ward aliens. The aliens had translated the Maga language and wished to speak with the Maga government on a live channel. Trump, who had never given a live speech before, was deep in discussion with its advisors on the best way to respond. Some advocated for a speech advocating mutual cooperation. Others suggested a speech containing veiled threats and posturing would be an intimidating show of strength. There was also a disagreement on whether to broadcast the speech to the general public or to limit it to the top TO officials.

In the end, the decision was made to publicly broadcast first contact with an intelligent alien race, with a speech emphasizing the government's policies of spirituality and strength of arms.

The transmission took place in the lower house of the planetary parliament, with a giant video screen moved in to cover the wall behind the speaker's podium. When all members were seated, Trump gave the signal and the alien spokesperson came on the screen. There were several audible screams and gasps of horror when the blue-skinned humanoid became visible. The alien spoke first:

"Greetings. I speak for Chief Executive Officer Jondru and the wealthy elite of the Alari Partnership. We are always looking for new trading partners, and hopefully we can come to some sort of accommodation that will benefit the commerce of both our nations."

Shocked at the alien's visage, Trump stood idly for a moment. Accounts of the exchange differ, but all sources agree that once it regained its composure, Trump took the carefully prepared speech, threw it on the floor, screamed "Blasphemers will burn, xeno heretics!", and walked out of the chamber.

Needless to say, that exchange did not go over well with the Alari Partnership.

chapter2_pic5.jpg

The entire scene was a massive scandal, but one Trump was personally unaffected by. The nature of the CEO-Führer-President position meant that the title holder was not held accountable for its actions by the general government. Removal could only happen by the oligarchs during an "election". Trump instead blamed its speechwriters and moved on to fighting the last remnant of the Deep State.

On November 16, 2219, science vessel TOS Gluckldorinator found the last remaining Deep State fleet, including the cult's leader. After a testy exchange highlighting the leader's delusions of grandeur, Glolindus Starfleet was dispatched to end the Deep State once and for all.

chapter2_pic6.jpg

===========================
1. Dear Readers, the planet name Phlegmia is not a translation error. While it is possible that a mistranslation occurred from the prior translations of this text from Maga to Tzynn to Terkardian to Blorg, the translation of this name from Blorg to English literally means "land of phlegm/mucus".

One just has to have a chortle now and again.

Decade 3: Defeat of the Deep State and the Beginning of Interstellar Diplomacy

Year 2220 started with the election of the next head of the TO. The oligarchic families presented four candidates to lead the Maga people for the next 20 years. Trump itself put forward a policy of increased mining production and exploration along with an agenda of national purity. Governor Blort proposed building new star bases to expand trade protection and ship production in order to strike the Alari Partnership, along with a personal agenda of supporting selective nostalgia among the Maga general population. Scientist Gablort put forward an agenda to grow the economy and colonize Gedexus III and Tureis III. Finally, admiral Glopp proposed an expansionist agenda designed to efficiently conquer the Alari Partnership.

The selection process was quick. Sitting at the boardroom of Trump tower, Trump looked at the other 3 candidates, said "don't make me release the goods", and the other 3 candidates immediately withdrew from the election. Trump won an uncontested victory and remained the CEO-Führer-President of the Trump Organization.

chapter3_pic1.jpg

With its political position secure, Trump moved its gaze to the remnants of the Deep State. On April 24, 2220 the final battle began. All Magas watched the fighting unfold during evening broadcasts and saw the power of the TO and the Glolindus Starfleet in action. The battle ended on May 19, with all 5 Deep State corvettes destroyed and the flagship disabled. A company of marines was assembled and sent to flush out the survivors and claim the flagship for the TO. Fighting from deck to deck, the marines took few prisoners. The leader of the Deep State was found on the bridge, having killed itself rather than face trial. The Deep State had been defeated, a new flagship gained, and the TO was now able to strategize how to handle the new external threats.

chapter3_pic2.jpg

During a full cabinet, admiral Glopp presented Space Force's proposal to secure defensible territory. The plan was to first claim and secure the systems in the red circle, which would cut off Alari access into the Trumpstar core sector. While the star systems in the blue circle were currently unexplored, they would be claimed to expand the defensive front lines spinward. With the efforts toward expansion completed, national policy would be set toward supremacy. A new shipyard would be constructed in the Majek system, which was centrally located and only 3 jumps from the major choke points in the hyperlane network. The existing shipyard in Trumpstar and crew quarters would be replaced by a trade hub and offworld trading company. Upon hearing its name (Trumpstar), Trump agreed to the plan.

chapter3_pic3.jpg

The next actions taken were to collect intelligence on the Alari Partnership's military strength. The Space Force initially suggested using the merchants currently traveling in Alari space as spies. Most accounts of Trump's reaction to the suggestion state that it asked the question "Why are merchants traveling in Alari space? Didn't they close their borders and kick out our science ship?". Admiral Glopp's alleged response was "CEO-Führer-President, you signed the orders to open our borders to them last month and they replied in kind."

Most sources agree that, despite its outspoken policy of national purity and isolation, Trump accidentally signed a bill authorizing the opening of the borders during one of its bill-signing parties*1. The order was not reversed, as it allowed the merchants to gain intelligence on the Alari fleet's strength.

chapter3_pic4.jpg

As the plan to claim and secure the TOs borders began to move forward, another xeno sighting occurred on February 18, 2221. En route to survey the spinward star systems, the TOS Gluckldorinator came across another alien science vessel, of similar design to the Alari science vessels but containing no life forms. On August 4, 2222, contact was made with the 2nd alien, the Synthoid Core, which was not truly a nation as its "inhabitants" were the external drones used by a central artificial intelligence to interact with the physical world.

As before, the transmission was publicly broadcast in the lower house, however Trump's speech this time was far more restrained. The central premise of the speech was simple, and would become the standard greeting for future first contacts: "Keep out of our way or we will make you!".

chapter3_pic5.jpg

The following 8 years saw first contact with the Model-16 Continuum, an ancient, possibly malfunctioning AI possessing destructive power far beyond anything the TO was capable of fielding. Shortly after, contact was made via the Synthoid core with the cat-like Ruphaari Theocracy and the monstrous Union of Vetiri, who boasted of having an ancient gateway in their territory that was capable of instantaneous travel to other gateways. The Ruphaari and Vetiri were both fanatically spiritualist societies, and formed a defensive pact against the Synthoid Core on November 8, 2228.

2230 would usher in an era of new uncertainty, where the TO would need to enter the delicate world of interstellar diplomacy in the crusade to find "covfefe".

chapter3_pic6.jpg

========================
1. Player's note - I forgot I had closed borders by default, then clicked the button to "close" them, which actually opened them. I normally play non-xenophobes, so my learned reaction to closed border notifications is to go into the diplomacy screen and manually close them. It was a genuine goof on my part, but it fit the narrative too well to leave out.

Oh, so perfectly hilarious
One just has to have a chortle now and again.
I love it! I had a good laugh from this.
hilarious! great work

I'm glad you all enjoy the history of the Maga people so far. Honestly, some of this stuff writes itself.

I've seen it in game too. It's glorious and totally worth however many lives you are willing to sacrifice to get there.:D

I agree, it will be totally worth the sacrifices required to get there. With my luck, it will be on the other side of the galaxy in a fallen empire's territory.

Bill signing parties. :p Oh man, the Maga people are hilarious, and their CEO-Furhur even more so.

Chapter 4: Technological Breakthroughs Occur While Rivalries Form

The 2230s in the TO were characterized by three main themes. The first was technological progress. Many breakthroughs occurred in a variety of fields, all of which either improved the Maga economy or the lethality of its Space Force. Notable breakthroughs occurred in the fields of mining efficiency, farming efficiency, ballistic weapons, sensor technology, genetic medicine, and selective defoliants.

The second theme of this decade was that interstellar diplomacy began to slowly mature. While most nations were weary of their new-found neighbors, partnerships and rivalries quickly began to form. Of particular interest was the Synthoid Core, which for reasons unknown had failed to colonize the planets in its territory. The failure to expand had left the Synthoid Core weaker than its neighbors in terms of military and economic strength. As a result, 6 nations including the TO declared the Synthoid Core to be their rival, in order to give their general population an external threat to fear and lead to justification of military expenditures.

chapter4_pic1.jpg

As contacts were made with an increasing number of alien nations, Trump directed its diplomats to inquire about the location of "covfefe", hoping that if anyone knew what "covfefe" actually was, the xenos would be able to help. Responses ranged from "what?" to downright hostility. On January 7 2234, the Union of Vetiri declared the TO to be its rival. Trump felt personally insulted, as all it had asked was the location of "covfefe". In a 140 character message, Trump declared the Union of Vetiri to be enemies of the Maga people.

chapter4_pic2.jpg

Trump gathered its cabinet to discuss how to respond to the insult. Given the geographical separation to the Union due to the Synthoid Core blocking the hyperlanes, the general consensus was to organize a criminal infiltration of Vetirisius Prime and destabilize the Union from within. The infiltration would use the same model that the TO used to obtain global domination of Trumpland. However, the cost of setting up the initial front operation was prohibitive, since the Synthoid Core prevented all forms of TO civilian ships from entering its borders and the alternative routes into the Union were quite long.

It was upon that realization that Trump decided to test its infiltration theory on the Alari Partnership. "The borders were open and the distances shorter, so it should be easy to test the tactic on a xeno government" Trump thought. Unfortunately for Trump, the cabinet pointed out that it simply was not possible to test the infiltration theory on the Alari. A translation of the exchange is below.

Trump: "Let's start with the Alari. They already like us, so it should be easy to bribe the right people."
Blort: "We can't, CEO. Their government is a megacorporation."
Trump: "So what? Why should we give a [expletive] what type of government they are? They're not machines like the Synthoid."
Glopp: "The Orange One said we cannot commit crimes against megacorporations. I know it doesn't really matter to us what it said, but the Magas outside of this room will never disobey the Orange One."
Trump: "[45 seconds of expletives] Fine, we obtain the credits to infiltrate Vetirisius Prime, but I will not use my money for this!"

chapter4_pic3.jpg

By December 4, 2236 the 1,900 energy credits required to infiltrate Vetirisius Prime had been acquired, and a syndicate front corporation was established. A thriving criminal underworld was established on the home planet of the TO's first rival.

As an aside, from a diplomatic perspective one event of note occurred that was not widely discussed or circulated at the time. Supposedly, according to the surviving sources, on October 23, 2235 the Model-16 Continuance sent a message demanding that all Magas receive an inoculation shot. Trump refused to allow the dispensary drones access to TO space, and no further response was recorded.

chapter4_pic4.jpg

The third theme of this decade was that of understanding the geographical position the TO found itself in. Scans of the rimward star systems showed no xeno presence until the discovery of the Qasvalyvia Shipping Alliance (QSA). With large portions of the rimward arm now mapped, an internal debate occurred on how far to expand into the supposedly empty galactic arm. Opponents of expansion cited the existing difficulties of administering the existing TO territory, while proponents cited that cutting off the Qasvalyvia by taking two key systems would deny them resources that could later be exploited by the TO at the TO's discretion. Trump ultimately chose to wall off the QSA and prevent them from further expansion.

But they are weak because they don't use it.

Decade 5: Acquisition of the Human Union Subsidiary

Following the successful establishment of the front company on Vetirisius Prime, Trump was re-elected to its position. The first action of its new term was to negotiate a deal with the Alari to share comlinks with other empires. The TO had established contact with far more nations than the Alari, so the deal for a simple swap went through.

Given the criminal nature of the TO, Trump found it difficult to convince the other known nations to trade communications. The only other nation willing to trade comlinks was the Bryll Dynastic Union, and even then only after Trump bribed the Bryll with half of the TO's food supply. Unfortunately, none of the newly contacted nations knew where to find "covfefe".

The 2240s saw the first interstellar wars fought by the newly ascended nations, including the TO. The Alari and the Union of Domanna Nations were fighting a war of aggression against the Galactic Gulk-Furki Hegemony. The Union of Vetiri would declare war on the malfunctioning Synthoid Core, while the United Sidimatus League would declare war of containment on the Prikkiki-Ti fanatical purifiers.

Three more nations declared the TO to be rivals, and a non-aggression pact and research agreement was signed with the Alari. Despite the xenophobic rhetoric of the TO, the NAP with the Alari was made due to pragmatic reasons. The Alari were the only nation not openly hostile to the TO, and because the Alari signed a commercial agreement with the Vetiri, they had ample justification to declare war on the TO and evict the front corporation on Vetirisius Prime.

While wars raged around the TO, exploration of the rimward arm continued. In the Balawar system, the TOS Gluckldorinator rescued a stranded alien scientist named Corrona. Grateful for her rescue, Corrona shared her knowledge of subspace sensors and orbital defense grid supercomputers. After the knowledge transfer was completed, Corrona was promptly deported from the TO.

Meanwhile, the Vetiri war against the Synthoids was progressing well for the Vetiri. The destruction of the Synthoid space navy caused the Synthoid's power in relation to the TOs to fall such that they were no longer valid rivals. Space Force commanders, watching the war through the operatives supporting the front business, were concerned about the repercussions of the war on the status quo of the region. In particular, Space Force had no idea what would happen if the Vetiri managed to capture the Synthoid core and shut it down.

Space Force plan to partition the Synthoid Core
chapter5_pic4.jpg

With the two existing colonies developing into productive planets and no more habitable planets in TO territory, Space Force drew up plans to partition Synthoid territory and secure more habitable planets. Resources were allotted and schedules created for the annexation, but Trump shelved the plan in favor of one of his own making. On November 2, 2243, contact was made with a star nation that had only the year before achieved FTL travel, the Human Union. Rather than attack the Synthoid Core, Trump decided to extend an offer of "protection" to the Humans, in exchange for 25% of their monthly energy credit income. Before the offer was made, Glolindus Starfleet was ordered to the borders of the Human Union so it could be ready to strike in the event that the Humans refused the offer of "protection".

Naturally, the Humans refused.

The Humans did not stand a chance against the Space Force. Within a year, all four of their star systems and their home planet were occupied. With no hope of victory, the Human Union agreed to become a subsidiary of the TO.

The fifth decade after achieving FTL travel ended with the Vetiri Union humiliating the Synthoid Core and the Qasvalyvia Shipping Alliance claiming ownership of the Amastes system in the first step toward a future war with the TO. Meanwhile, efforts to obtain supremacy over the other nations of the galaxy were completed along with vastly improved research methods.
