New to HOI4, and I find it really annoying that I cant rearrange the armies/generals on the bottom of the UI. Please add this.
The assign/unassign workaround is a chore. Drag'n drop support for Armies and Army groups at the bottom, as well as rearranging theatres, unfortunately did not make the cut for this release. There are UI/UX designs and plans to make this happen.

Would a better default sorting order suffice (even just reversing it so that latest template is at the top rather than at the bottom)? Maybe group templates by division type (Infantry, Motorised, Tank, Special forces etc). I'm trying to find "fairly easy to fix" solutions that have a chance of being implemented/making the cut in our sprint work.Same for army/ unit templates would be great, so you can sort similar templates together (not necessary drag'n'drop, but at least sortable)
I think grouping by main division type would help.Would a better default sorting order suffice (even just reversing it so that latest template is at the top rather than at the bottom)? This is fantastic news
Can you also consider drag drop arranging divisions within armies so we can keep track of key divisions in mixed armies easier.
Great!! I'm waiting for this from release.I'm trying to find "fairly easy to fix" solutions that have a chance of being implemented/making the cut in our sprint work.
What would define a key division?
As drag'n drop is fairly complex to design and implement (our GUI system does not work in a way where we can just check a flag to allow DnD unfortunately (oh how I would love that to be the case)). There are designs and probably plans to be able to sort the division list for an army/army group by the stats associated with a division, eg. by type, experience etc.
Would that suffice?
How about most-used at the top? That kind-of automatically sorts the more specialised divisions lower.Would a better default sorting order suffice (even just reversing it so that latest template is at the top rather than at the bottom)? How could I rearrange the order of theatres? I have to move all of the armies to a different theatres and then change the name of theatre right now. I wonder if there is a better way? There is a workaround until we've made a better, more intuitive way, to fix this.
In the theatre view (right side of the screen) you can select an army in an army group and right-click to tto put it to the furthest right. It takes a lot of fiddling to get the order of the armies in the way you want but we're working on this. It is unfortunately not possible with armies not in army groups![]()

Please implement sorting based on name of division. I really like to have the divisions sorted by numbers. That is 1-24 is army 1, 25-48 is army 2. As it is now, the game hates to sort in any way. If I remove Division 15 in an army, then division 24 will take its place. Total chaos also happens when you have alot of equipment and recruit a bunch of divisions. The divisions come out randomly often. This may have to do with that if you capture equipment, random divisions in training will be filled up with tha equipment. What would define a key division?
