Yup, Only one change per 10 years.
Edit: To be clear, only one change + or - 1 to one slider.

Ah but it was my impression that the centralization bug was only in 1.05 and not in 1.04

1.04 Serfdom bug.
1.05 Centralization bug.

Check it again, Chas... Johan states that the *Serfdom* slider effect never worked before... which is why it is *different* from the *Centralization* slider effect. (Actually in each case we're talking one effect of many, not all of them.) The thing you posted is quite wrong... Centralization worked correctly in 1.04 and it was broken in 1.05.

Yes i was 99% sure but did not want to belabour the point :)

No and yes.

No, he didn't say that the serfdom effect never worked before - he said 'that slider effect never worked before', with no quote to indicate what he was talking about.

Yes, he obviously meant what you say, as I've just tested it and you are quite right. My apologies.

I have to say I feel irritated though. If you read that thread I went to considerable trouble to understand the bug; several contributors to this thread were in that one, plus the Chief Programmer. And they still didn't tell me right. I guess it's all down to the fact that the 'experts' are American, as they've had the game 3 times as long as the rest of us, and they don't recognise the existence of 1.04 any more. I see the 1.04 bug list has disappeared as well, so I can't even find out what's official. So the only option is to beta test the entire game for myself. Ah well, I guess I already knew never to believe more than 10% of what I read here.

Well I have downloaded 1.05, but have not played it yet as I am finishing my current GC. under 1.04. I knew about it, just from READING the forums. :)
