Far be it from me to suggest prestige inflation, but things cost quite a bit of prestige and getting it back takes forever.
As Duke of Brandenburg with 7 Counts/Bishops as vassals, I get less than 1 prestige per month.
When I want to switch out a useless woman vassal with one of my now-grown sons I take a 40-Prestige hit AND a bb hit.
Here I am, the most powerful Duke of Northern Germany (at this point in the game I'm probably a bit stronger than the King of Germany!) and I have negative prestige.
I'm not a warmonger. If this game requires me to be at war to gain prestige I'm going to be very upset. The whole idea behind CK is to play a dynasty, but I can't seem to get my dynasty very far unless I resort to HoI style wargaming.
Especially since as a Duke I'm only gaining 0.7 prestige a month and I have 4 sons who are soon to be 16 which will mean -0.4 month for them being non-landed.
So having a large, successful family is a penalty in a game about dynasties?
