Downloaded on Steam. Mid-2010 Macbook Pro 8GB RAM, 512MB video card, 2.66GHz Intel Core i7. I shouldn't have any issues running a 6+ year old game.
I have uninstalled and re-installed. I have verified game cache multiple times (oddly, after verifying the game cache and reacquiring files, it says all files validated successfully; but then I launch the game and still see the issue, quit right back out, and more files fail to validate, weird numbers too... first 4, then 7, then 5...).
I followed advice online, and deleted the cache folder. This fixed the map textures, but units would not appear on the map. I verified the integrity of the game cache... 7807 files missing. Once reacquired, the map textures were broken again.
I'm really confused and not sure how to fix the game. The fact it was released in 2009 should mean that my computer from 2010 can run it, shouldn't it?
So what gives?
