well, I must give them credits for post 1.02 patches. They haven't wasted time on these ones :)

Quite possibly but I ahave had EU since December, well worth the extra money if you ask me. This whole staggered release stuff just doesn't make any sense.

It does make sense if you think about it. We didn't have all the files for localization until 2 days before the US release. UBI soft has done a stunning job on all of their language versions so you will all get a AAA release from them.

Ok I see your point, but why is there a sperate UK and US release? Most of us chaps over here can speak American. :) Was there some special reason for this?

Now if that quote is not a "hostage to fortune" I don't know what is!

Seriously, can someone explain to me why it is better for Ubisoft to defer revenue on UK release by 3 months simply to have a pretty release schedule with all their versions leaving the factory door on the same day. Almost guarantees them more hassles with distribution and support.

not much people will buy oversea, but a lot will buy in UK, so they thought it would have hurt their sales elsewhere. And while you would have been happy, the French and the Spanyards would have been whining :D

Well they'd probably get more complaints from within Europe if they released the English version earlier than the other language versions (preference to the English doesn't go over so well).

Plus it's probably much cheaper for them to only make one production run of EU2, and not to do several smaller runs, when they're actually printing the manuals and burning the CDs.
