Still learning. A lot.
Germany is prepped to invade the low countries and seize the channel ports before dashing off to Brittany. War exists with France and Great Britain, but not with the Low Countries.
I am guessing the time to establish an air drop is 24 hours, or rather they won't drop until 24 hours after the order is given.
So, at 03:00 on D-Day -1, the order is given without issuing a declaration of war to drop at 04:00 on D-Day.
This is the question: Does the DOW with the low countries need to be issued at H-Hour -1, or can it be issued at H-Hour itself? What is the minimum time required between DOW and a Drop? How much time does it take to put the loaded transports in the air and get them over the drop zone?
Second question: What is the probability an airdrop lands on an adjacent, rather than the designated, territory?
My thanks in advance
