basically, the ai can offer any of its provinces to you in peace, regardless of who controls it, so long as it still owns it.
if you annex the country, and in this case you have 4 and russia 2, they you get those 4 and russia its 2
had this recently in a game where i nearly finished tripoli and the oe jumped on the last province, tripoli was offering that province to me in peace, and when i annexed, oe got that province

If the county is annexable(?) and all provs are controled by foreign powers only the one controlling the capital get the annexation option. when doing this the country is no longer and you everyones now ownes what he controls. The point is u can't annex if another one controls the capital, so by controling a nations capital after you DoW them you make sure they cant be annexed by someone else.

Guess annexable is an english word, not 100% sure though - english ppl?

Well, the last few posts were quite what i needed to understand what you meant. And i see the point in having the capital. But i guess this one only goes if you are in an alliance with another nation where either you have pulled your ally or your ally has pulled you into the war. But if we have two seperate wars against the same nation, i believe you make individual peaces with the nation in question - no?

BTW: I've always thought it was the one who started the war and drew its allies into the war that would also have to conclude the peace treaty after the war.

Only the starter can make a peace for eveeryone, but well if the enemy is annexed, the war is also over as there wont be an enemy left to fight ;)
