i have dover to all intents and purposes under my thumb now and 52 divisions worth are surrounded and trapped while i advance towards edinburgh. but what's the deal? they're still supplied! i exit and loaded up as the US and saw that their units are still supplied! why?? it's been a month now or so since their encirclement

i have naval and air superiority btw. playing kaiserreich mod where the HSF is superior to Britain's fleet

You have to bomb his convoys to stop supply runs from overseas. They aren't on map so naval superiority doesn’t help unless you assign the mission bomb/attack convoys to your airforce and navy. Even when they’re gone keep the missions running, since if he builds more convoys they’ll immediately start shipping in supplies again.

There will be lots of activity as you hit the convoys and it could take quite some time to kill them all off if he has hundreds of them. Once gone mouse over the little supply icon on the top left of the display when you select the province. You should be able to see how many supplies he has left with good detection levels. When they’re gone you can attack or wait a month or so as his troops starve.

If Dover is the current British capital hex, then supplies are stockpiled by the British government and he draws from British stocks. Not much you can do about that if that’s the case.

nope, edinburgh's the capital, so i figure it's the first case. thanks for the quick reply :D

edit: hold on, i moused over and it says it contains a depot with 196.something supplies and a considerable number of oil too. does this depot mean that it won't run out of supplies? :(

The depot means that he's shipping in supplies... incoming supply shipments always appear on the map as a depot.

It will if you eliminate most/all of the convoys going to it.
