So i lost a game because couple of times my opponent made a double turn without reserving his move. First, i was surprised because we both had catapults, and his always moved after mine (because of master tacticial skill), but then enemie's cata suddenly break usual turn order and moved 2 times in a row. This could not happen because he was ountumbering me - he got only cata left, and i still had two mechs. Several turns after, when he moved in every single turn (no reserving - i watched closely for that), he did double turn again and again. Even when his cata was left 1v1 agains my jugg he moved closer, and then, after my turn, attacked me twice in a row, like he was reserving, but you can't move and reserve at same time, right? So, there is something that i miss about turn order, or what happened? I lost a game only because of this weird issue and trying to understand what is wrong.

I've seen that happen myself, but only on those missions where you're supposed to get a particular pilot/mech and after you get the warning that he's trying to run. Then I've seen him move twice and move early. It hasn't mattered because at that point it only takes one round to take him down... 2 if I'm insanely unlucky and miss those 80%-95% shots.

Best guess haveing not played the multiplayer. He could have used some abilities. In single player there are moral abilities that can move mechs forward or backwards in the initiative order. Unsteady gives a mech -1 initiative, and useing another ability that allows you to brace and move gives that pilot +1 initiative.

So he could move after you, activate the moral ability to fortify +1 initiative, and possibly unsteady your mech to drop your initiative by 1. To get a doubble turn without reserveing.

Almost certainly used Vigilance which gives you +1 initiative next round.

There is only one morale (rage) ability in mp - called shot.

Also, if i would had less iniative (actually both our mechs were unsteady at some moments), i would move after him, and not before, that's all. Initiative loss places you down in current turn order, and not removing your turn completly.

That's kinda weird. If he wasn't reserving the only other thing I can think of was that your opponent was rolling with Paradise as the Cat's pilot. Paradise has Ace Pilot, which lets you shoot, and then move, during a turn. Depending on how initiative orders worked out if he moved and fired, then immediately ended up going again to fire then move, you'd have a double attack.

My guess woudl be this: he moved in, used a Precision Strike to knock you back one initiative phase and secure the first move in the following turn. In the subsequent turn he used Ace Pilot to shoot a 2nd time and then ran for cover.

That would be true if i didn't had master tactician. Since both of our mechs were same class (he got ac cat, and i got standard) removing one initiative would just put me to his level.

That's first. Second - turn order looked like - he moves and shoots, i attack him, he moves and shoots, he moves and shoots again, then i get to move. That should not be possible without reservation? Even if we ignore me having master tacticial, removing one initiative would mean that he simply will make his move first. But he moved before my turn! And then, after my turn, recieved double turn.

In singleplayer i've had that happen to both the a.i. and to my pilots. There was one fight were my Tbolt was allowed to go twice in a row (once in the usual 2 phase for heavies, then again in the 1 phase OF THE SAME TURN). I had not used reserve or vigilance.

In another fight the sole remaining enemy (Shadowhawk) went in the 3 phase (normal) then again in 2 and 1... of the same turn. That should not be possible.

I'm leaning towards a bug of some sort, or something. If you both had heavy mechs, and yours had the master tactician you'd ordinarily get first go in the medium phase with it. The only way I can think of for him to knock you back that far would be to have used a precision strike (-1 initiative) which knocked you down (also -1 inititative). That collectively would drop your Cat from phase 3 to phase 1 (the assault phase), which could effectively net your opponent a double move. In turn one you go, then he precision strikes/knocks you down, and drops you back 2 initiative phases, and then in turn 2 he goes 1 phase before you and shoots you before you can stand.

That's a unique enough instance though that I get the feeling that isn't what happened to you there. Weird.

You mention you had used a Juggernaut, have you been in melee? Then this happens:
You punch him, he goes down in the initiative bar thus moves last, Next round he's back in normal turn order and moves first.
Other explanations are called shots or you didn't notice him reserving. I'm not sure what you meen by "you can't move and reserve."

For a better guess I would need to know more about the exact situation. 2v1 says nothing if you don't include what mechs are involved.
