Double Commander Bug

I experienced more than one time in my last game a bug where the same general would be able to command two separate armies, in mysterious circumstances. Here are screenshots of it:


Von Schlieffen already commands an infantry division in Africa:

But here he is also leading a separate cavalry division:

It also happened with historical commander Von Moltke, however I don't have any screenshots. Sorry if this has been noticed before.

They seem to have different traits though 'drillmaster' and 'school of offence'
One could view them as 'brothers' or 'cousins'...?
Just a thought...

I've gotten this on about half the historical German leaders. I have some screenshots too if I can upload them somewhere.

Since the traits are different, they aren't the same leader, just the same name. The game is probably just generating random leader names that are the same as historical names. Can you look in the savegame and search for the leader name? See if one is a 'historicalleader' and the other is just a 'leader'.

Here is part of the log. First I don't think it is coincidence they died at the same year. The Von Moltke "replica" also died in 1888, the same year as von Moltke itself.

There is also a replica of Luddendorff, this time with the same traits and the same portrait.


The problem is that I saved the file after "both" von Schlieffen had died, so I guess there is no entry for them in the savefile except for the log. This case happened to me three times, but I only have screenies of that one.


Edit: I checked the savefile for "Ludendorff", and here is what it shows:

Their ID's are different, so now it is clear there is no double general bug o . However I still ask Paradox to change this so that we don't have ambiguity while playing.

Ahh, the problem there is that you are getting one from the Prussian leader file and the same one from the German leader file. I think someone has mentioned this before in connection with tag changes. von Schlieffen is the same problem.
